Shut Down the Web?

There is a protest going on today about censorship of the Web. You should already know the problem, if not, just Google - SOPA - and - PIPA - . The US Congress wants to end piracy of movies etc by websites. Even offshore if they are infringing US copyright.
At least that is the outward purpose. Some believe that certain politicians in America really want to control the media of the Web, for whatever purposes. The US Republicans who control the Senate want the legislation passed, and people like Rupert Murdoch are backing them. That should tell you something.

Google, Wikipedia (the fourth most visited website) Reddit, BoingBoing, Tucows, Identi.ca, are among many who have chosen to lodge their protests via blacking out their own websites or featuring a protest message! Others offering backing include Facebook, Twitter, Mozilla, Yahoo and eBay.

Shutting out companies that are offering pirated product could be done in other ways, without suppressing the internet servers totally. The Patriot Act and Homeland Security already have the capacity to infiltrate ISPs to get information about anyone. And without warrants. And without your knowledge. It is the law that your own ISP cannot even tell you they have downloaded information about you.
But it would take more effort to chase them down individually. Easier to punish everyone for crimes committed by the few.
The bonus is total control of media on the Web. This could be the true reason because most of those hawks of the right wing recognize the web as a most dangerous thing because of its ability of instant and uncontrolled communication.
That was proven long ago in Tianamin Square.

The RIAA, the Recording Industry of America got their way a few years ago, led by heavy metal band Metallica, because people were downloading copies of their, 'music'. We were all punished for that.
Yes its wrong but the result is that now every man, woman and child in North America pays a premium surcharge for BLANK tapes and blank CDs etc because you are deemed a criminal if you are purchasing these things and it is suspected by the RIAA that you will use them for the purpose of infringing copyright instead of paying for music. Even if you are buying them to record your grandchild's first words! The RIAA has had a huge windfall because of this collection of iniquitous fees.
(some would argue that the extra money you pay at the cash register to the RIAA is actually a licence to record whatever music you like, because that is why you are paying the fee)

So does it also mean that websites like NetFlix would have to charge more to every single subscriber because it would be assumed they are recording those movies for whatever reasons? And do you pay more at theaters because someone could sneak in a camcorder?

But then is it really about copyright infringement? Or is it another subterfuge step toward controlling what people hear, read and see on the Web.
A most dangerous place.

Success. Today, Jan. 20, the PIPA and SOPA anti-online privacy bills were halted by the US Congress after the Wikipedia protest! Although they have promised to continue to work at the bills and they are only a postponement for now. At any rate, it is a demonstration of how public opinion can change the direction of government. A huge win for freedom on the web.

Information Poverty

Do you ever flick channels during the news at six? And have you noticed that many of the reports on any subject are copies word for word on several channels? You often assume these similar news items are picked up from other mainstream news sources, as interesting tidbits for your consumption. Hmm.
But so many news stories today are written by corporate PR departments with the slant towards guiding your thoughts about a certain subject. The so called yellow journalism. Indeed, what actual free journalism goes on today? Not much it seems. Mainstream=Corporate.

The School of Communication, Simon Fraser University, under the supervision of Dr. Kathleen Cross has released a study on the most under-reported news stories today. It says 25 but includes 100, some of which may shock you and others only confirm your suspicions of being manipulated. All are relevant to us living in a sane world.

- Like the under-reporting of the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Suppressed so the boiling public doesn't decide to take occupying action against the nuclear industry? And we're wondering how radioactive that gyre of Japanese earthquake-meltdown debris floating toward North America is and how it may affect our beaches? Keep your toddlers out of the sun AND the sand!

- Or the fact that so called Big Pharma (nickname for huge pharmaceutical companies) engineer their clinical studies to put a warm light on the use of their drugs. But you watch CNN and see the long lists of ailments from using their drugs, don't you? (side effects always downplayed during the shots of 'all-better-now' smiling actors) Well, you should. Do you care that pharmaceutical company reps are within the US Government FDA agencies right now writing the laws on the use of their drugs? Do you care that they may have omitted the fact that deaths occurred during their testings?

- I don't see it on their list but it is a lingering suspicion on my own; the Gulf oil spill and the fact that there are rumors of it still leaking and the ability of the oil companies to keep people away from the disaster area while they hide the pollution! That is cheating the world but did you think oil companies were ethical? Did you believe they could simply snub the US Government to do what they want? Even keeping the US Navy away and tieing the President of America's hands.

- Would you be shocked to learn that in 2010, in the American Army, 462 soldiers were killed in the line of duty? While 468 committed suicide!
Well of course you would because we only get the reports of 'embedded' reporters now. Those who travel with an Army unit and stage their reporting to suit the military minds. The mental health of war will be ongoing for decades!

- And did you read anywhere about the CETA negotiations? Sort of like NAFTA, no benefit whatsoever to Canada but allowing European corporations access to government procurement actions, to our public institutions like hospitals and public utilities. And all behind closed doors. Like NAFTA. A secret from the people. Does our news media have a don't- ask-don't-tell policy?

The SFU list makes excellent reading or even browsing if you like. And you could, if you cared enough, pick one of these items and make it your own. Something to yell about. Or write about. Or research yourself. Or complain about to your local news source for their lack of coverage.

Spend a little time perusing the SFU School of Communication study. All the items show a Synopsis, Significance, Media Coverage and Original Source Material. Beats the mainstream media's unnamed sources all to hell! Especially when those sources are PR Department flacks.
If you do go and read the study, be sure to go to Appendix A: Alternative & Independent News Sites Used for Researching Stories. This is important for anyone pursuing information on their own. Appendix D has the top 100 Underreported Stories.

Yes we all know that the current news organizations are firmly controlled by corporate interests. And we see the scandal in Britain about movie stars phones being tapped, but it is far more serious than gossip folks, it is about our small planet and your health, your family's safety, and our democratic right to reliable reporting.
And we, as a public interested in the preservation of our very lives, need to know truth, and to recognize where to find it and who is lying to us. The SFU Under-Reported News Study is a tool to use. A source for a further independent pursuit of the real information. Truth.

So one would ask: Are our reporters just lazy, stupid or bought? If there is a reason we are being denied investigative news reporting, that reason must be secret too. But secrecy fosters speculation and conjecture too, doesn't it?

Educate yourself and start using your voice. Information poverty is affecting us all, and they should not be getting away with it.

New USA-Canada Trade Deal

So you're reading about it now. A new deal that the US thought up, and has been programming Canadians to accept for at least 10 years now. The Bush/Cheney people thought it up, and as we all know now, Barak Obama has little to do with running America, and no president in the future will have either.
So the paranoid Americans 'conditioned' Canadians to believe that those wild-eyed terrorists were on their way here too, and unless we go along with their ideas, we'll be unsafe. Left to duck under our beds while the bombs go off. We need the same protection as all red blooded Americans get to keep them safe. Yes.
Well, not exactly. Terrorism hasn't much to do with the real plan.
Because along with the sharing of a national border with America, we will now go ahead with the so-called North American Security Border Perimeter Protection. This allows information sharing, and interoperability, (nice vague word) and Integrated Border Enforcement Teams (IBET). The Civil Assistance Plan of 2008 allows the military of one country to respond to a cross-border domestic civil emergency, at the request of the other country. The Shiprider Agreement of 2009 enables jointly-crewed RCMP and Coast Guard vessels to patrol shared waterways and seaways, with cross-border jurisdiction.
Interoperability also encourages a militarized approach to border crimes such as drug smuggling, contraband and the undocumented movement of people. Already, unmanned drones are patrolling the Canada-U.S. border. Since 9/11, five land and marine military bases have been established close to the Canada-U.S. border as part of the U.S. Northern Border Air Wing.

But don't just think of that border below us, folks, think North too!

Yes this agreement of course, considers OUR borders from sea to sea to sea.
And the third sea is the Arctic. And that's where America wants to be active. And protecting ALL North American borders means using US troops for that task. And allowing those troops to occupy our sovereign border in the Arctic. Why?
To guard against sandy terrorists or Russians sneaking across the diminishing ice floes disguised as polar bears (also diminishing) with high explosives strapped under their bomber jackets and destined for targets in Toronto! OMG! WTF?

Well of course the American and Canadian governments are playing it down. But the result of this new protection we get by signing the agreement, will be to allow America to control the emerging Canadian Arctic resource of billions of barrels of oil beneath those thawing ice packs! Estimated to be about 400 BILLION barrels!
A US based oil company has laid claim to ALL the Arctic oil reserves under OUR North, and has a legal argument based on their proposal that the Arctic's petroleum deposits are the "common heritage of mankind," (the lawyer who thought up that one got a huge bonus) and has argued that the polar region requires a private "lead manager" to organize.

Now wouldn't that conveniently come under the new perimeter border of North America? Of course it would. We need secure oil resources to lessen our dependance on foreign oil and to guarantee $1.00 a gallon prices to those righteous mid-western straw chewers who are still living in the fifties.
So all the talk about helping us poor Canadians get our goods to market across the Ambassador Bridge is subterfuge.

And that's not all. We have water. And lots of it. In a relevant aspect. It has been said that water will be the oil of the 21st century, and that it will cause wars between nations.
Sea water makes up 97.5 percent of all the water on Earth. And not all the remaining 2.5% is drinkable. Of that tiny amount we have an estimated 6 to 20% as renewable resource. That is 20% of about ONE percent, people.
America is in a drought situation and has been for a century or more! Some say the worst in 500 years! And getting scary worse.

The Great Lakes water levels continue to drop. Barge traffic on America's waterways only carry half loads to avoid scraping bottom in those rivers. Americans continue to use up to 350 gallons a day for drinking and sanitation when the world average is 20 to 40 gallons! And again, the big bad corporations are lobbying to drain America's wetlands to put more water into the river systems! Crops are failing, livestock cannot be fed.
And all the while sprinklers are pouring water non stop into the nice green golf courses of Los Angeles, Phoenix and Las Vegas!

America has been looking to the North for years. The Keystone XL oil pipeline is but the first step in draining Canada's liquid resources into America. Why not a water pipeline to follow? Do you think Keystone is a random name? You can bet the idea of a water pipeline is under discussion right now. And the first action will be to 'condition' the Canadian public into accepting the idea.
And it will probably hinge on existing clauses within the new border perimeter agreement to protect us from (once again) terrorists.
Why not?
The concept has worked on Americans since 9/11 who now have no recourse to sue American corporations for misdeeds or to stop police from tracking you or storming into your home without judicial warrants! And the growth of private security forces, like America's Blackwater, now called Xe, and Canada's Can/Aust Security could be used to subjugate and control an emerging angry populace. (Blackwater was used during Hurricane Katrina, Can/Aust was involved in a plan to smuggle Saadi Gaddafi to Mexico) Homeland security is about to become omnipotent. President Obama has just signed into law, an act that allows the US Military to police the streets, make arrests and jail citizens without charge or US Constitutional protection!

Don't hide under your bed, folks, without looking under it first. You might find a wild-eyed terrorist or a wild-eyed Senator there already. Go back to sleep, that's the only place you'll have freedom.

Researching Motion

This is odd. Certain Middle Eastern countries won't allow RIM, (Research in Motion, a Canadian company) to set up Blackberry phones in their countries. In August, the United Arab Emirates announced a ban on Blackberry messaging and other services by RIM. Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Bahrain have followed. India became nervous, and then China. Who could be nervous about RIM? They weren't nervous about buying our Candu Reactors.

The problem is that Blackberry encrypts its messages, and these governments and others want to access that encrypted information. Blackberry encryption is unbreakable and is the only cell phone smartphone company using its own operating systems. In other words certain branches of governments want to listen in on what you are saying and they can't on Blackberries. They read and hear everything you do on other smartphone devices, but Blackberry will not reveal any cipher or encryption keys.

So now we recently have have services disrupted in the Middle East, Europe, India, then Africa, South America, Brazil, Chile and Canada. Coincidence or enemy action? Blackberry says it is not hacked. But they wouldn't tell you wold they? For the same reasons banks don't tell how they get swindled.

And we wonder if there isn't some concentrated efforts going on here to bring down Blackberry and RIM itself. It may be in the interests of the travelling businessman, corporation or tourist to keep their communications secret, but governments can't stand not knowing what you are doing while passing through their countries.

They blame terrorism of course. As usual. Who knows what WMDs you could stuff into a Blackberry. Isn't that how the endless wars started in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Maybe Canada isn't so harmless after all.

The military now has a new drone. They have adapted a regular drone which now can simply fly over a certain area, and gather virtually ALL electronic communications speeding through the ether below! Pause for a moment here, please ........

That means ALL the cell phone communications, who is making them, and who they are going to. ALL your text messages. ALL your Tweets about whatever you are typing about. ALL your facebook info and what you are saying to whomever you are saying it to. Probably all your RDF information nestled snugly into that new credit card with ALL your recent purchases and where you bought that stuff. ALL your driver's info on that new radio frequency ID chip licence you just got. Probably ALL your health records from that CARE card. Ultimate surveillance.

Where does this all point? Match it up with some of that video evidence of military helicopters in Iraq, targeting smart bombs from a mile up and you can see that with a little cross referencing of who is doing what to whom, and how they can be pinpointed to be 'taken out' by one of those stealth black choppers hovering high over your house, there will be no room for rebels in Future World. (read New World Order) Yul Brenner isn't the bad guy.

So it all points to a slave society, completely under control of a military elite, (Google Blackwater, Xe, Fema Camps) almost helpless to resist the subjugation of the populace.

Almost.
But there has always been that element in our democratic society of suspicion driven free people intent on resisting the efforts of Big Brother to control us. Sort of the new Hippies of North America. Now add these flower-haired freedom seekers to the rebellious M15 toting Minutemen, who are ALSO suspicious of anything the government tries to control free people and you have an odd marriage of those who think free and others who also value freedom and have enough weaponry to throw a wrench into the takeover attempts of whatever cells the CIA, NSA, Shadow Government, et al have in mind for the people of North America.

(In 2011 there was a 54% increase in FBI background checks for new and used handguns. 11 MILLION! And those are the legal figures. The public is arming themselves, folks)

(1963 – 64) The Warren Commission. A group appointed by Pres. Lyndon B. Johnson to investigate the circumstances surrounding President John F. Kennedy's slaying and the shooting of his (alleged) assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. It was chaired by Earl Warren and included two U.S. senators, two U.S. congressmen, and two former public officials.
After months of investigation, it reported that Kennedy was killed by Oswald's rifle shots from the Texas School Book Depository and that Oswald's murder by Jack Ruby two days later was not part of a conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy.
Its findings were later questioned in a number of books and articles and in a special congressional committee report in 1979, though no conclusive contradictory evidence was found.

One of those first books, Rush to Judgment, by lawyer Mark Lane, pointed out that the conclusions in the Summery, those few pages that most people and reporters read, had little to do with the volumes of actual evidence in the content.
Today a believer of this, 'Oswald alone', conclusion is rare. And because that summery seemed falsified, it berthed a lifetime of conspiracy theories about the President's death.
Even following the interesting side story of the trail of Officer Tippit on that day and you might join the legions of disbelievers.

The members of that Warren Commission were -

- Earl Warren - Chief Justice of the United States. Eisenhower offered Warren the post of solicitor general, with the promise of a seat on the Supreme Court. But before it was announced, Chief Justice Fred M. Vinson unexpectedly died in September 1953 and Eisenhower replaced him with Warren. As Chief Justice of the United States some said many of his decisions were 'inappropriate'.

- Hale Boggs - Died mysteriously in a plane crash while flying over remote Alaska in October, 1972 . Wreckage never found. In April 1971 he had made a speech on the floor of the House in which he strongly attacked J. Edgar Hoover and the whole of the FBI.

- Gerald Ford - Future President. Ford commented in his own report that the CIA destroyed or kept from investigators critical secrets connected to the assassination.

- John Sherman Cooper - In the general election in 1954 Cooper was defeated by Alben W. Barkley a Democrat who had been Vice President under Harry S. Truman but Barkley subsequently died, and Cooper was elected to fill his unexpired term in 1956.

- John J. McCloy - He was initially skeptical of the lone gunman theory, but a trip to Dallas with Allen Dulles, an old friend also serving on the Commission, in the spring of 1964 to visit the scene of the assassination convinced him of the case against Lee Harvey Oswald.

- Allen Welsh Dulles - Director of the CIA. It evolved under his directorship into a team of assassins. One member, Frank Sturgis, claimed: "this assassination group (Operation 40) would upon orders, naturally, assassinate either members of the military or the political parties of the foreign country that you were going to infiltrate, and if necessary some of your own members." (Sturgis was also one of the Watergate burglars) Dulles and his staff were forced to resign in September 1961 when President Kennedy reportedly said he wanted to "splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds."

The Warren report's lack of candor furthered antigovernment cynicism, which in turn stimulated conspiracy theorists who propounded any number of alternative scenarios, all mutually contradictory, and all going strong today.

Time to leave?

The US plans on withdrawing all troops from Iraq at the end of this year. Leaving the Iraqis to run their own country.
Today there were bombings all over the troubled nation. In a dozen cities using a combination of parked car bombs, roadside bombs and a suicide bombers driving vehicles. It seems there are no secure areas in the whole country. The scope of the violence is only increasing in spite of the Iraqi and US forces. Even within the so-called Green Zone, of Bagdad suicide bombers are able to move about, coordinate their people and kill when they want.

As the American effort winds down the question looms larger than ever; Can Iraq govern itself? It is like the religious groups are just waiting to begin their civil war. Only this time Iraq will not have a strong Saddam Hussein directing an army to control the insurgents. What will happen to all the building and infrastructure implemented by the US? It looks to many as if Iran will play a large role in cooperation with Syria to allow control of this huge and valuable part of the Middle East. Iraq has a huge portion of the known oil reserves.
In this 'George Bush War' as some call it, the question also haunts the West whether leaving Saddam alone and dealing with him would have been the realistic and sane answer. Indeed, the best strategy for peace. Alas, it seems GW Bush was intent on vengeance over sanity.

In Afghanistan, a similar scenario awaits. The Taliban are stronger than ever. Al Qaeda operates freely. The control of the country centers in only a small part of Kabul. Everywhere else is intensely dangerous. The poppy crop is burgeoning and opium production is higher then ever before, some even suspect the CIA of encouraging it. While they use armed spy drones near Pakistan to try to limit the expansion of the insurgents.

President Hamid Karzai, the inserted ruler, has little control, is often refered to as the Mayor of Kabul because his influence is so limited, and is also suspected of actually working against the US. But he fled the country once before and is totally likely to follow the US troops out whenever that happens again. Leaving what?

Of course Afghanistan will descend quickly into tribal conflict with warlords, drug cartels, Taliban and al Qaeda all tearing it apart once more. The country will go back 200 years overnight.

And what will be the legacy of these costly adventures in muslim countries? Perhaps only a newly inflamed hatred of the West, and especially the United States.
It seems that the correct and safe strategy in Afghanistan would be to let them sort it out themselves, no matter how hard it will be to watch from afar, and then deal with the winner, who no doubt will be a strong brutal leader, and who has democracy furthest from his intentions.

In Iraq, the new hope to deflect the efforts of Syria and Iran would seem to be a new Sunni leader, like Saddam, someone who can keep the Shiites at bay and Iraq's two volatile neighbors inside their own borders.

It remains to be seen if the shadowy cadre of insiders in the US government will allow anyone but the Saudis to control the oil flow into the US and anyone but their choice of who supplies the bulk of heroin into America. And it is all above and beyond the input of a US President, that control is already gone.

However it works out, the sad conclusion drawn by many is that these American adventure wars which cost so much in brave young lives may have been all in vain.

It IS time to leave.

The world is spiraling downward. The stock markets are actually crashing. The US had its credit rating lowered for the first time in history. Canada is doing just okay but pundits all say we'll be close behind America when it plunges. Dragged down with Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and others on the brink of something bad. And no one seems to know what to do about it all.

Well correct that ... lots of people know what to do, but the power brokers in charge of actually doing something aren't about to upset their own plush limousines.

Do you believe it? China has actually warned the US to watch its step and get its act together. China.
OMG. Shouldn't that be the exact opposite? Shouldn't the Western world be warning the backward countries about their spending behavior? How did China emerge with so much power?

Well, the truth is, the greed of the West gave it to them. For example, years ago Canada sent technology and effort to China to help them mine their minerals and ores. By building the mines and mills and sending them equipment necessary to produce goods from those ores.We knew how to do it, they didn't. Then they weren't able to transport those ores to the mills so we sent them all those huge Euclid trucks. To help them out. All free. Paid for by the Canadian government. America did exactly the same thing countless times. So China got the product out of the ground, built their own factories, and set about undercutting American factories and bankrupting the economies of North America!

We as a free enterprise democratic society condoned the actions of the few rich who needed to do 'business' with these Marxist Communists. To sell them stuff. Any technology the West didn't give the Chinese they simply stole through industrial espionage. All this while they suppressed and oppressed their population with the brutality of their regime. While we looked away.

Nixon opened up China and is heralded for that. But by who? The billionaires who added to their fortunes with deals in China. Those inside deals enriched a very few while destroying workers at home. And it went round and round until today the Chinese hold the debt balance for America. They have successfully destroyed the North American steel industry, the manufacturing industry, high tech is going or gone, nothing left but the pizza shops and Wendy's. Farming controlled by Monsanto. Health by offshore pharmaceutical corporations. Even space is being taken over by Chinese rockets!

The Arabs hold the other half of this equation by strangling us with artificially high oil prices. Courtesy of their confidant, George HW Bush. The Tea Party Conservative Republicans pound away at Obama without a single mention of the costs of the two wars they started. Estimated by the end of this year to be 1.3 TRILLION dollars! Isn't that almost what the US is in debt for?

It's like the powers that be are lining up their tanks in a row to bring down the world so they can emerge as the keepers of the New World Order. The consequences too frightening to imagine.

We did this to ourselves by allowing power and greed to take precedence over home interests. We dealt with the Devils in China and Saudi Arabia who tore apart the fabric of what was a proud world-leading America. The home-grown foreign devils in America might be the losers, however. If there is nothing left to control who wins?

We did this by tolerating corporate greed to overrun our governments. And over-rule our governments. And to place their needs above those of the population. We did this by allowing people like the Bushes and Cheney to ignore what the founders and builders of America had in mind and to set the dominoes of democracy falling. We did this by allowing Enron to slip into oblivion, by forgetting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and now likely Rupert Murdoch. We did this by not yelling for our media to tell us what is really happening. We did this by accepting the glowing reports of 'embedded' reporters in those wars. Like Afghanistan where the so called Western Coalition has only a small zone in Kabul barely under control. The journalist who started the fall of Rupert Murdoch's News of the World by revealing the hacking of phones etc. was found dead in his apartment.
Sean Hoare, a former News of the World employee was discovered at his home in Watford, Hertfordshire, after concerns were raised about his whereabouts. The death is being treated as 'unexplained'.
The police say it is not suspicious because he hurt his nose and foot lately.

Nato equals Taliban?

We condemned the Taliban a few tears ago because they destroyed age old monuments in Afghanistan. They did this because those monoliths were more about Buddhism than Islam. Taliban militiamen wrecked the almost 2,000-year-old Buddhist masterpieces in the central province of Bamiyan, including the world's tallest standing Buddha measuring 50 meters (165 feet).

Afghanistan is home to an array of pre-Islamic historic treasures from its days as a key stop on the ancient Silk Road and a strategic battleground for conquerers dating back to Alexander the Great and the Aryans before him.

The two massive Bamiyan Buddhas, carved into a sandstone cliff near the provincial capital in central Afghanistan, were built around the second century.

Appeals for their preservation came from the United States, France, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Pakistan, Germany, Russia, India and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

What is Skype? This is what Skype says about itself - - - Skype is for doing things together, whenever you’re apart. Skype’s text, voice and video make it simple to share experiences with the people that matter to you, wherever they are. - - -
Skype has a free download version.

So what you can do, is get a phone number of your friend, wherever they are, then you start the program, click stuff and contact your friend. They can be across town, in Florida, or Nairobi and you suddenly can text talk, voice talk and SEE them live and in living colour!
Wonderful program for Grandmas contacting their grandchildren, or offices doing impromptu sessions about their contracts, or anyone else who wants a live contact look.

So here we go again with my slant on it. First you might want to review some of my previous posts about Microsoft, and the reasons I believe they are beholden to the CIA, NSA or Homeland Security. Once you digest that, you'll either go away shaking your head or begin to realize the same things that these watcher agencies would love: an in with Skype.

It is believed that Microsoft may include Skype with Windows 8.
Having it built into their operating system means they can tinker however they like with the intricacies of the program, meaning what it does and how it does it. Perhaps even when it does it.
Imagine Skype being controlled or reporting to 'someone' what it sees from the top of YOUR computer? A spy master's treasure trove. An intrepid innovation.

Lends another aspect to big brother watching you, doesn't it? Who needs a satellite looking down at you and seeing your rooftop when the watcher can be right inside your house!
Hmm.

UPDATE: Was I right or was I right? Today, May 27, it was just announced that a recent 'glitch' on Skype has been fixed! And even though you have not been able to use it for a few days, you can now download the updated 'fixed' software version and get right back on!
Skype blames overloaded 'supernodes' for the failures, and says they are fixing them, trying to reassure you that hackers were not responsible for the downtime. Right, always blame hackers. Concentrate your attention on the imagined bad guys so you don't notice the real bad guys at work.

Is this a suspicion confirmed? So Microsoft buys Skype, shuts it down while they and/or the US Government Sneak Department installs new spyware, then you load the update that could make your webcam record you in your home without turning on your little light.
Wonderful.

Will we need to turn off the lights and whisper within our own homes soon? Will this KGB like intrusion become the Stasi or the Tonton Macoutes one day?

Julian Assange, in a recent interview, said facebook was a spy machine.
But of course you knew that when you signed up and revealed almost everything about yourself. Didn't you. Didn't you?

Assange believes - Facebook [sic] is a giant database of names and records about people, maintained voluntarily by its users but developed for U.S. intelligence to use. “Everyone should understand that when they add their friends to Facebook, they are doing free work for United States intelligence agencies, and building this database for them,” Assange said.
While Assange doesn’t claim that Facebook is actually run by U.S. intelligence agencies, the fact that they have access to its records is — in his view — dangerous enough.

Well, you signed up. And filled out a profile, telling all about yourself.
Your place of work. Your DOB, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, which ALL police forces use for ID. Who your Mom and Dad are. Who Grandma is. You even entered in the maiden name of your Mom! Maybe what your first dog's name was. Where you live, work and play. What you like, perhaps that you like murder mysteries in your reading and movie preferences. That you still like Bob Dylan protest music. And under Philosophy, innocently tucked into the list, your religion and political views.
And then you put a nice clear picture of yourself up for all to see.

Then you started looking for your friends, close and long lost. And in doing that you gave facebook the actual PASSWORD to your email account. So they could get and use the names of all your contacts on that account. Friends, family, employers, business accounts. To help YOU of course.
Wow, cross referencing in the extreme.
And not only that, they can still access your email to see what you are sending to whom right now!

So if that buddy in high school, (remember Freddy that you thought was so funny at fourteen) had grown up and his third cousin on his uncle's side became a grandma killer, YOU are now associated with him. Remember, you typed HIS name into a search and found Freddy. And you asked him to be a friend.
And lo and behold, Freddy responded back to you and befriended you all over again! And he had a friend, who has a friend. And that third cousin is also in HIS database, from a prison cell. But of course you don't know that. And anyone looking at these kinds of records would KNOW that YOU are no grandma killer.
You love your grandma.

But wait. We assumed that a human would just look at these things and say it was only George looking for Freddy. They have nothing to do with creepy murderous cousin. But of course it is NOT a human surveilling you. Only a computer that constantly adds information to the database. That only searches for keywords and names. The computer that links you with murderers, thieves and highwaymen! And your picture. Nice head shot. Perfect for face recognition software to memorize.
Did you know that if you go to the big game, buy your tickets from a scalper when you get there, enter the gates, your face can be recognized going in. You are NOT anonymous. And even if you snapped a quickie from your built-in webcam, you allowed facebook to access the camera. But didn't set a NO access after the pic. You see how sneaky these things are? And it IS possible to hack into your puter and turn OFF the light that tells you your camera is active. Sorry if this is disturbing. Lends a whole new meaning to 'big brother is watching', doesn't it?

We all know that any social media, any ISP host, information storage, cloud storage, or any other databased web storage is subject to the Patriot Act and the scrutiny of Homeland Security. And here is the good part for the spyers: by law you cannot be told you are being watched. So any dark agency of the government or secret cell of the CIA can simply click in to everything you do on facebook, and record your entries, comments, opinions, private emails, and personal info. Anytime.

Too late. It isn't a reasonable logical sympathetic human being watching you. Only a computer that is building a labyrinth of webbing items about you. Damning contacts made up of those triggered keywords and alarmed phrases. Red flags to your personality. Betraying keystrokes.
This goes way beyond just recording your ISP number or the unique serial number of your hard drive. The conclusions of you being monitored by facebook are endless and dangerous.

What about Julian Assange? There is talk of charging him with treason in the US. Of course he is Australian, in Britain and he has yet to go to Sweden, but let's not let nationality into it.

Apple joins Big Brother

Yes, more evidence that Apple has sold out to the US government. Following Microsoft's aquiescence to Homeland Security after the threat to Bill Gates to split his company a few years ago. Remember they installed the unique code identifier on all their Windows operating systems?
Now Apple allows the built in GPS tracking system in the iPhones and iPads to follow your every move and record your whereabouts. Where you are, and where you were! And the information is stored for months!

They know where you've been, who you called and you can bet they know what you said to whomever you spoke to. Sent an email or text message? Those are simply digital signals, a series of 1s and 0s that go through a Satellite on their way to your friend. Interceptable of course.

Make no mistake that this revelation of Apple products is preordained, even though Apple has said, "The reason the iPhone stores so much data is a bug we uncovered and plan to fix shortly." A bug? A bug in most people's comprehension is something that screws up your dialing, or causes the call to abort, or loses numbers. A bug doesn't perform a complicated task!

The company added they will release a software update to correct this situations AND another update that will also fix another apparent 'bug', which prevented iPhone and iPad 3G users from being able to turn off location logging on their mobile devices.
Even when turned off the iPhones kept sending data! And many iPhone and iPad users expressed outrage last week when two data researchers uncovered a secret file stored on Apple's mobile devices.

How does a company like Apple have something secret installed in their software without their knowledge? The answer? They don't.
Making you feel creepy? Sorry, put the gun away, I am only the messenger.

You can try to switch off the GPS tracking device on your iPhone. That is if you believe it will work. Maybe you'd be better to buy a cheap phone from China, do you care if the Chinese government tracks you from Beijing?

Monsanto now owns Xe Services? (Blackwater)

A scary report by Jeremy Scahill in The Nation (Blackwater’s Black Ops, 9/15/2010) revealed that the largest mercenary army in the world, Blackwater (now called Xe Services) clandestine intelligence services was sold to the multinational Monsanto. Blackwater was renamed in 2009 after becoming famous in the world with numerous reports of abuses in Iraq, including massacres of civilians. It remains the largest private contractor of the U.S. Department of State “security services,” that practices state terrorism by giving the government the opportunity to deny it.

Many military and former CIA officers work for Blackwater or related companies created to divert attention from their bad reputation and make more profit selling their nefarious services-ranging from information and intelligence to infiltration, political lobbying and paramilitary training – for other governments, banks and multinational corporations. According to Scahill, business with multinationals, like Monsanto, Chevron, and financial giants such as Barclays and Deutsche Bank, are channeled through two companies owned by Erik Prince, owner of Blackwater: Total Intelligence Solutions and Terrorism Research Center. These officers and directors share Blackwater. One of them, Cofer Black, known for his brutality as one of the directors of the CIA, was the one who made contact with Monsanto in 2008 as director of Total Intelligence, entering into the contract with the company to spy on and infiltrate organizations of animal rights activists, anti-GM (genetically modified) and other dirty activities of the biotech giant.

Contacted by Scahill, the Monsanto executive Kevin Wilson declined to comment, but later confirmed to The Nation that they had hired Total Intelligence in 2008 and 2009, according to Monsanto only to keep track of “public disclosure” of its opponents. He also said that Total Intelligence was a “totally separate entity from Blackwater.” However, Scahill has copies of emails from Cofer Black after the meeting with Wilson for Monsanto, where he explains to other former CIA agents, using their Blackwater e-mails, that the discussion with Wilson was that Total Intelligence had become “Monsanto’s intelligence arm,” spying on activists and other actions, including “our people to legally integrate these groups.” Total Intelligence Monsanto paid $127,000 in 2008 and $105,000 in 2009.

No wonder that a company engaged in the “science of death” as Monsanto, which has been dedicated from the outset to produce toxic poisons spilling from Agent Orange to PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), pesticides, hormones and genetically modified seeds, is associated with another company of thugs. Almost simultaneously with the publication of this article in The Nation, the Via Campesina reported the purchase of 500,000 shares of Monsanto, for more than $23 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which with this action completed the outing of the mask of “philanthropy.” Another association that is not surprising.

It is a marriage between the two most brutal monopolies in the history of industrialism: Bill Gates controls more than 90 percent of the market share of proprietary computing and Monsanto about 90 percent of the global transgenic seed market and most global commercial seed. There does not exist in any other industrial sector monopolies so vast, whose very existence is a negation of the vaunted principle of “market competition” of capitalism.
Both Gates and Monsanto are very aggressive in defending their ill-gotten monopolies. Although Bill Gates might try to say that the Foundation is not linked to his business, all it proves is the opposite: most of their donations end up favoring the commercial investments of the tycoon, not really “donating” anything, but instead of paying taxes to the state coffers, he invests his profits in where it is favorable to him economically, including propaganda from their supposed good intentions.

On the contrary, their “donations” finance projects as destructive as geoengineering or replacement of natural community medicines for high-tech patented medicines in the poorest areas of the world.
What a coincidence, former Secretary of Health Julio Frenk and Ernesto Zedillo are advisers of the Foundation. Like Monsanto, Gates is also engaged in trying to destroy rural farming worldwide, mainly through the “Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa” (AGRA). It works as a Trojan horse to deprive poor African farmers of their traditional seeds, replacing them with the seeds of their companies first, finally by GM.
To this end, the Foundation hired Robert Horsch in 2006, the director of Monsanto. Now Gates, airing major profits, went straight to the source. Blackwater, Monsanto and Gates are three sides of the same figure: the war machine on the planet and most people who inhabit it, are peasants, indigenous communities, people who want to share information and knowledge or any other who does not want to be in the aegis of profit and the destructiveness of capitalism.

No Fly Zone

So this is what I thought was going to happen;
The Western powers against Gadhafi threaten a No Fly Zone. He gets the message. The reason for the zone is to stop him from pummeling his own people with air power when the suppressed people are trying to get rid of him.
If he tries to fly more planes against his own people the Western alliance/coalition will intercept and shoot them down. That's how I thought it would go.
Not quite.

They started by bombing 'military' targets. Anti aircraft sites. Radar installations. Then tanks etc. No doubt using the B2 stealth bomber. Although a missile went into his compound in Tripoli, along with the denial that they are trying to kill him outright. Since this event started, these combined air forces have continued to attack and destroy various ground targets.
It seems to me that this is not a protection of a no fly zone but a war being carried out. The next step of course, is an army on the ground which would amount to an invasion. This idea has already been excused as NOT an army of occupation, NOT an invasion, but specific troops doing specific jobs.
The problem is there is no leader and coherent opposing force among the Libyan rebels. One of those specific jobs should be to simply target Gadhafi and kill him, then wait for whatever happens with the so called rebels. Someone will emerge.
Killing Gadhafi is the simplest and most efficient way to resolve the situation. But it doesn't allow for the war games going on presently. The testing of weapons and forces and troops. All over again, ala Iraq.

The US has once again assumed leadership to police the world. The Arab League was on board at first, also wanting to get rid of the tyrant, but one can see their mounting hesitation to be seen as onside with America in the killing of Arabs, (and Muslims) far beyond deposing Gadhafi.
And many are wondering exactly what the US agenda is regarding Libya? Do they want to define what happens there? Do they want to ensure a government acceptable to them? Do they want to secure yet more oil?
Is there another secret plan afoot?

Consider this: The US gets most of its oil imports from Saudi Arabia. If they could guarantee the same amount of oil from other sources, the Saudis would become less important. And almost every time the US relaxes its guard, the Saudis betray them. Sponsoring terrorists around the world who ultimately threaten the US way of life. The Saudis are the bosom buddies of the Bushes, not Americans. It seems that with other major sources of oil, America could finally confront the duplicitous Saudis with the truth. They are, after all, as an absolute Islamic Monarchy, on unstable footing too. Are there still American bases on Saudi soil that the Arabian people don't even know about?
It gets complicated doesn't it?
And we really know little of what is really going on. Since the advent of 'embedded' reporters. CNN reporter Nic Robertson recently blasted Fox News reporters for putting their own slant on the actions in Libya. And Michael Ware often disputes what the mainstream media tells us. And there's no chance of an embedded reporter getting PTSD.
We rarely get the truth.

We have to wait and see. With trepidation. It looks as if the Libyans only wanted what the Egyptians got; the removal of an arrogant and brutal tyrant with peaceful protests. But in the North Africa controlled by Gadhafi anything goes, and the Western powers belief that those Libyans want a western style democracy may be way off base.
They want a freedom defined by their own rules. Not ours.

Adjust the World

The World needs an adjustment.
It seems to be spinning out of control and one wonders if we are irreversibly destined to just ride out the spiraling plunge helplessly. Is it too late for people in every country to take control over their own destiny? Seems so.
It is like we are headed for another dark age.

The latest disaster in Japan seems to bring it to our attention once again as the ones in charge of the nuclear facilities seem to be lying outright about their problem, or are emitting only squeaks when questioned about the dangers. Once again the Company seems to be more important than the people it is supposed to serve. Protecting business is everything, the consequences to the population are secondary.
This attitude is tragic but prevalent.

We saw the same situation with the BP oil spill. But everyone thought that with Obama as President, things would be different. We all believed that after seeing the executives and CEOs of the company lying about the effects and circumstances, that Obama would step in with the US Navy and take over the effort and then use the assets of BP in America to pay for it all.
Nope.
We got a clue then that even the President of the most powerful nation in the world was owned by private business and hogtied by corporate agenda and secret lobbied deals over what the population of the whole USA wanted and needed. Trust.
And somehow BP managed to ride it out. We no longer even look to see what is going on in the Gulf of Mexico, despite rumors that the leak is still ongoing and the oil is lying on the bottom of the sea and sealing it from recovering itself. Expanding the already acknowledged, 'Dead Area' with a coating of sludge.
Out of sight.

Both these horrific events only show that the corporations were totally unprepared and unable to prevent the disasters once something went wrong. Their planning and designs were completely inadequate. And maintenance was even ignored. But alas, their bullying and cover-up propaganda was well executed.

We've had bank crashes, the mortgage crises, the Enron scandal, all these affecting the well-being of thousands of people but bringing profit to business. We've had 911, nefarious military actions and criminal intent in foreign countries. The ignoring of the US Constitution regarding prisoners and even within the White House. People are trying to simply live on this planet, but are too dizzy with the twisting top that is our world to rise up in defence of real freedom and truth and justice when it comes to corporations and the way they operate today.

We have found out that trade agreements are about business and not people and only advantage corporations and their drive for profits and exploitation of the resources of other lands. Foreign policy is actually laid by these corporations. Individuals have little to gain from international trade agreements. And now we're even being cautioned by a controlled news media that those who are telling us and the other populations of the world that they are being cheated on, and revealing these underworld actions, are the bad guys.
Knowledge to the people is being dispersed with disinformation.

All the dictators in the Arab oil states were perfectly acceptable to the West until their own people rose up against them. And the West tacitly agreed with the Emirs or Shahs or Potentate's methods, however brutal, while siphoning that oil back into American gas tanks. And now the West just looks at the situations unfolding with the fallacy that these people are moving toward American Style democracy. Not so, they are just rising against the cruelty of a regime.
The West no longer has models to look up to.

How bad IS WikiLeaks?

WikiLeaks, under huge pressure right now by the US Government, recently revealed more information about nefarious doings by US diplomats.
'U.S. diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks reveal the Bush administration drew up ways to retaliate against Europe for refusing to use genetically modified seeds. In 2007, then U.S. ambassador to France Craig Stapleton was concerned about France’s decision to ban cultivation of genetically modified corn produced by biotech giant Monsanto. He also warned that a new French environmental review standard could spread anti-biotech policy across Europe.'

The French do have a reputation for going in their own direction. And they have influenced the EU to ban GMOs.

This latest cable shows that US Diplomats in Europe were instigating their own government to find ways to PUNISH the EU farmers because they did NOT want to buy MONSANTO genetically modified seeds (GMOs) or food products! The side effects suspected by GMOs is staggering, including modified organisms that have NEVER been in the human food chain! The recent upsurge of allergies in children for instance, is being blamed on global warming ... but ...
Strangely enough, while linking this subject of Monsanto and GMO side effects, I found more than a few websites about this subject to have redirections or other insertions that disallow you to see the site. Hacking? By who? Let your own mind mull that one.

Many who have travelled or visited France, understand their reverence for food. The French style of food production, preparation and quality takes precedence over everything else! When you are on a passenger train, it can actually be rerouted to a side rail while a food train bringing fresh Strawberries from Provence to Paris races by at breakneck speed, so important is that freshness. And dining is what many tourists go to Europe for in the first place. American lobbyists have for decades been trying to change the German Purity Law (reinheitsgebot) to allow certain chemicals and ingredients to be added to beer brewing. GMO wheat for one example.
The EU has banned GMOs in general, but you can see that they are under huge pressure to change.

It is estimated that in North America, 80% of all the foods we now eat contain GMO products. Which by the way, are suspected of all those harmful side effects or possibly even DNA altering effects? Compliments of Monsanto Chemicals and others. And many wonder why the FDA is not protecting Americans?

It was also revealed in the latest cables released that some US diplomats were working directly FOR Monsanto! No wonder the USA is mad at Julian Assange but we can only hope they keep revealing these things.

Is WikiLeaks all bad for spilling this? Didn't they also reveal lately information about how the big banks cheat the world? Didn't they also reveal the duplicity of the Chinese with information showing while they were calling for the West to reduce satellite potential weapons they were secretly developing their own? Do we want to continue to hush and pretend these revelations don't concern us? Will we go on believing that the powers that be are working in OUR best interests? Is America complicit in their attitude to corporations who have no interest in the well being of the populace other than profit? Is the USA becoming the rogue state in the world! Are there things we need to know that no one but WikiLeaks will tell us?

Mass deaths of creatures

So we all took notice when five thousand Red-wing Blackbirds suddenly fell out of the sky dead in Arkansas. Strange. Then 100,000 Drum fish died in a stream not too far away. And 500 more Blackbirds in Louisiana.
Then the stories exploded into mainstream news and became world wide events.

40,000 Devil crabs in Britain. Thousands more Starlings in England with blood coming from their beaks. Other Doves in America with a blue substance on them. Jackdaws dead in Sweden. Snapper fish in New Zealand. More birds in Italy and Brazil. Thousands of Spot fish in Chesapeak Bay, hundreds of seals washing up in Labrador. The Russians say they have seen two million birds die.

Some scientists say it is the flu. But wouldn't even birds just sit down with the flu? Would they go flying in flocks? They tell us pollution, parasites and disease can cause mass deaths. Yet post mortems are inconclusive. These fortean events seem to be indescribable by those who should know.
So what exactly IS causing mass deaths of certain species? Why are they happening so suddenly everywhere?

Perhaps one needs to look towards HAARP. The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program tucked into the forest in Alaska, operated by the US Air Force.
HAARP runs an ionospheric research program associated with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. (DARPA) Its overt purpose is to analyze the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing ionospheric enhancement technology for radio communications and surveillance purposes. There are many speculations about it's covert purpose.
The most prominent instrument at the HAARP Station is the Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a high power radio frequency transmitter facility operating in the high frequency (HF) band. The IRI is used to temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere. Other instruments, such as a VHF and a UHF radar, (these frequencies fall into the microwave range) a fluxgate magnetometer, a digisonde and an induction magnetometer, are used to study the physical processes that occur in the excited region.
The esoteric tech words describe the process. It has been said that HAARP can now pinpoint areas on Earth, and actually make clouds boil! Reminders of Tesla research. We are wondering how accurate and how focused these areas can be?

Hmm. Got your tin hat on yet? So, could this recent activity of dead animals be the result of creating and pinpointing very narrow excited areas? Using finely directed microwaves could mean sending them anywhere, even underwater.
It is said the apparatus for HAARP is a reversal of a radio telescope; antenna send out signals instead of receiving. HAARP is the test run for a super-powerful radiowave beaming technology that lifts areas of the ionosphere by focusing a beam and heating those areas. Electromagnetic waves then bounce back onto earth and penetrate everything - living and dead.
But then just boiling an area with high power microwaves would certainly cause ALL the creatures in that area to die. Why only specific species?

Is there a genetic connection? Can certain genes be excited by a specific frequency pulse wave? Is HAARP experimenting with that right now? Is it possible that parts of DNA chains can be analyzed, as in targeting a certain known and unique gene within an RNA chain? That would account for only one species of birds at a time falling dead while others just fly on. Beaming in on a specific gene can be done chemically now. As in smart pills and brave pills fed to the US Army. And other chemicals that can target race, for instance. Can frequency be used?

Scientists have experimented and discovered that 7.83 Hz (earth´s pulse rate made a person ‘feel good´ producing an altered-state. 10.80 Hz causes riotious behavior and 6.6 Hz causes depression. They have made extreme low frequency (ELF) waves change RNA and DNA. These waves naturally exist in the earth´s ‘electromagnetic' cavity, the space between the ground and the ionosphere. These ‘earth brainwaves´ are identical to the spectrum of our brainwaves.
Is the use of HAARP's powerful potential being focused into a pinpoint for military use? What exact power could that be? Control of Earth's weather? Control of your brain? Control of your DNA? Manipulation of your DNA? An advance of Tesla technology to make the ultimate military weapon. Is it the Star Wars of the future future? Is 1984 a bit late but here?

And we are not even suggesting tsunamis, the recent activity of many volcanoes, the Haiti earthquake or the floods in Australia have anything to do with HAARP. But ... um ....
There are more questions than answers about HAARP, which will always be the way of military installations where secrecy is foremost.
But some of us begin to wonder about Earth's mysteries.

John P. Wheeler III, a man who had many connections in Washington, was found dead in a Delaware land fill recently. The police have said it was a homicide.
Wheeler was a man who served his country over a lifetime and had a huge list of accomplishments:
a graduate of Harvard and Yale, West Point Academy, Army Officer, a staff officer at the Pentagon, wrote manuals on biological and chemical munitions, worked within President Ronald Reagan's administration, responsible for the Vietnam War Vet memorial, worked with both Presidents Bush, and for the Securities Exchange Commission in the early 80s, was Special Assistant to the Air Force Secretary until 2008 developing the cyberspace research center, worked for a defense contractor as a consultant, had day to day interactions with the office of the Secretary of Defense. In short, did a lot of work for various causes and military and government institutions.
But did that 'defense contractor' phrase twig you too? You have to dig to find more. I was looking for a connection to Haliburton, of course, but learned other strange things. The defense contractor was the Mitre Corporation, described as the creepiest secret corporation one could imagine. The Mitre corporation is headed by a former Director of Central Intelligence! Appointed by Henry Kissinger! And the Mitre Corp has connections the FAA, the US DoD, Homeland Security etc.
And with Ptech.
Ptech is a secretive software computer company owned by a Saudi and suspected by some to have placed software coding insertions into military and government computer systems on 9-11, enabling an over-ride condition on all of them. They have been investigated and accused of connections to terrorist financing. They are also important in the development of Oracle, a database system used by the US Department of Homeland Security.

The specific job of these two is to look at the interoperability issues the FAA has with NORAD and the Air Force in case of emergency. You know, like the emergency of 9-11 for instance when NORAD and the whole US Air Force failed to protect anyone. (gawd it's hard not to type Dick Cheney right now)

The truck delivering garbage to the dump was stopped after seeing the body in its trash and its route determined after discovering the body in its trash. The route was miles from his home.
Further digging points to items about the murder of Wheeler. His neighbors complained about his TV blaring for two days but no one appeared to be home. When police went in they took away two chairs and the floorboards they had been placed on! Hmm, every spy show turns up the TV volume as they torture someone. His wife had been away. He was seen in other areas (10th and Orange streets in Wilmington) not on his route home.

What did Wheeler know that cost him his life? From his connections, he knew everything. Was his death a warning to others?
The cause of his death has not been confirmed and the police are awaitin toxicology reports and more forensic testing. The FBI is also involved. Wheeler was 66.

So it goes on. A conspiracy theory in the birthing. Wheeler evidently felt his country had let down Vietnam war vets. Did he feel a repeat scenario with Gulf War vets? Did he know something about 9-11?

Now a taxi driver has been interviewed by the police as a result of Wheeler's cell phone being found. The police did not reveal this, the cabbie did.
The taxi driver's number was IN Wheeler's phone data bank. Not as a call but as a contact! He said he has no connection to Wheeler, never knew him, but does give out business cards to customers who ride in his cab. But he declared that Wheeler had never been in his cab. The strange part of course, is why would Wheeler have taken the number off the card and added it into his data bank? IF he did.
They interviewed the cabbie known as Scottie twice and one interrogation lasted over three hours. Which leads one to wonder why so long?
And the cabbie declared that he thought he was being harrassed. Which implies two more ideas: one is that the police believe Scottie knows more than he is telling. Two, is that THEY know more than they are telling. As in they KNOW what they are after, but aren't saying, therefore making any interview longer because they have to work around protecting their own knowledge without exposing it.
Hmm. Was Wheeler about to or had he made a stealth contact with some entity like WikiLeaks? One of the warnings on the WikiLeaks website advises carefully on how to contact them without placing yourself in jeopardy; like not being in your immediate area, even to saying to make sure the postal place you might use has no surveilance cameras etc. Is that why Wheeler was far away from his usual route home?
Other classmates from his West Point days who were still immediate friends, say it would have taken two or more to hoist his 255 lb body into a dumpster.

There are certain things about the current WikiLeaks furor that bring back the past. The difference is that today we have instant communication and knowledge of actual goings on. Or the potential of.
Back in the days of the Viet Nam war. We heard only what news was meant for North America via newspaper and TV reports and what the precarious pipeline of independent news gatherers were able to report. Which was published in underground tabloid newspapers. It was the beginning of the era where the government controls the news to the people back home.

This was furthered in the news during the first Gulf War when Peter Arnett reported direct from Baghdad and was eventually disgraced and fired for his truths.

There are many stories from Viet Nam vets on the conduct of that war. Instances of distortion of the truth that grew in volume as Lyndon Johnson took over direct management of the conflict in Indo-China.

A Sergeant in the Army returns to his commander after a foray into the jungle. "What happened with your squad, today, soldier?" His superior asks.
"We lost two men Sir, and killed three Viet Cong."
The Captain retorts in a gruff voice, "No, soldier, tell me again what happened."
Causing the young Sergeant to stammer a second reply, "Sir, We lost two soldiers in a firefight. We know we killed two enemy in the attack and think we got two more."
The Captain sighs. Stands up behind his desk, intimidating the young soldier, and says, "No no no. You must have it wrong. You killed ten Cong commies and lost none?"
"Um, Sir?"
"You hard of hearing Sergeant? You heard what I said. Now what exactly did you say?"
The Sergeant, swallows visibly, straightens to attention and takes a stab at another answer. "Sir! We killed ten Viet Cong and came back with no casualties. Sir!"
"Thank you, Sergeant. Dismissed."

The Captain then reports this accounting to his own superior, who says, "Captain, that is exactly NOT what happened today. Exactly what happened is that a squad of our troops attacked the enemy in spite of their overwhelming numbers, but with our superior training, skill and weaponry they killed 200 Viet Cong and lost none of our brave soldiers."

The report goes to the another officer higher up the chain. Who nods his head and then says, "These reports go right to General Westmoreland now who sends them directly to President Johnson."
And he then proceeds to write a memo to the General - "Our platoon had no losses today but over 500 Viet Cong were killed in a fierce firefight near Hanoi. We expect to liberate the city soon."

And an independent newspaper reporter, sitting in a cafe in Saigon, sipping French coffee, who read this latest report in an American newspaper and commented to a friend. "So far, with my math, we have killed over twice the population of North Vietnam? Doesn't anyone get it?"
The reporter disappeared the next day. Saigon was a dangerous place.

And so began the fear of truth in the modern era of media reporting. And so began the intent to kill the messenger. The web today may be the last bastion of truth to the people.

Several months ago, the Chinese set the other world military powers agog with a demonstration of their capabilities. They shot down a satellite in space!
It was one of their own but they showed they could do it and sent a chill throughout the industrial military complexes of many nations, most of all, the US. If space is to become a factor in world warfare, then space ship satellites cruising miles overhead need to be impervious from attack from the ground.

So then, a few weeks ago, a news helicopter filmed a rocket rising from somewhere west of Los Angeles. No one knew what it was. See the article and video below Chemtrails/Contrails/Missiles for an explanation. The Pentagon denies knowing what that missile was. Trying to pass it off as a contrail from a commercial airliner. Well we all know that the Pentagon never tells the truth. (not that they are obligated to tell us the truth)

So then, just the other day, the US announces that it's space craft/flyer, the X37B Ordital Test Vehicle has just landed after a successful secret mission into space. This 'plane' was built by Boeing's Phantom Works Division for NASA originally until the US Airforce Rapid Capabilities Office took it over. It was secretly launched in April of this year on a seven month test mission.

Now, considering what the implications are that something like this could be shot down from the ground by an enemy force, wouldn't you think a test would be in order while this vehicle was orbiting?
Just what was it doing up there? Technologies to be tested included advanced guidance, navigation and control, thermal protection systems, avionics, high temperature structures and seals, conformal reusable insulation, and lightweight electromechanical flight systems. Or so we are told.
In addition, the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle will demonstrate autonomous orbital flight; upon command from the ground, the OTV autonomously re-enters the atmosphere, descends and lands horizontally on a runway. So wouldn't the US Air Force need to KNOW their systems worked by performing an ultimate test? Shooting one of their own most advanced missiles at their project, (with fail safe capabilities of course, perhaps programmed to disintegrate or just go off into space silently forever) would be something they would need to know. So making sure they could detect, and thwart any attempt from Earthlings to interfere with the conquest of humanity.

So could that missile launch in California recently have been a test to confirm their secret X37B vehicle would be safe up there? Unable to be shot down? Watching us below? Shadowing us with impudence? Even arrogance. Threatening us all into submission and slavery? Zapping us by laser with no fear of retaliation.

Sure the thing looks like a huge slug. But we never thought Jabba the Hutt was dangerous either, and look at the trouble he caused Princess Leia and Luke.

WikiLeaks or does it?

There seems to be a huge furor over the revelations of documents by the website, WikiLeaks. They are saying the thousands of revealing items are placing people in jeopardy of their jobs, soldiers at risk, secret identities exposed or even war plans!

But so far, all we have seen are documents which show that diplomats, and people in government or military sending things to each other are simply human. Is calling Angela Merkel 'teflon' an insult or a compliment? I would suspect the 'Teflon Don', John Gotti considered it a badge. Hilary Clinton is aghast that people in the State Department have nicknames for their counterparts.
Are they revealing troop movements? Isn't that WWII stuff? Seems to me when the US invaded Iraq there were reporters already waiting on the shores to film the Marine landings! It was on the Six O'Clock news and no one bitched then. Now America has a carrier heading for the Yellow Sea off Korea. We all know it. Stealth no longer applies.

So here comes my raison d'etre - there might be someone out here in blogland, who believes there is a stealthy movement afoot to take control of the internet. Not just to destroy WikiLeaks, but control of ALL the internet. There is entirely TOO MUCH freedom going on there. Anyone with an opinion can now blog it. And put wicked ideas that politicians are corrupt into the heads of the people. And anyone with a cell phone cam can prove it! Dangerous people!
So is there too much reaction to WikiLeaks?
Will there be a sudden move to take complete control of the internet entirely? The Patriot Act ensured that Homeland Security would be able to monitor everything you do anyway. How much further can they go? Some would like this wild freedom of expression ended.

And here's the trick; to limit your communication in the first place. Rather than wait for the ethereal product to go whizzing through the sky and then defend against it with a midnight raid to your home by men in black. Why not just stop it at its source . . . you.
Someone's idea might be that you can send an email to your neighbor down the street, but not to a cousin from Seattle to Miami. Way too far. Across the seas out of the question. Mohammed to Mustafa? No way. Criticize the government? No way too.

As for leaders calling other leaders names, wasn't it Canada's Jean Chretien who publically called George Bush a moron? No need for stealth there either. Just saying it like it is (was) (still is) Is it new info that we think Muammar Khadafi is a jerk? That the Saudis are sponsoring Al Qaeda? That the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is crazy?

Oh, by the way, speaking of putting people in jeopardy, wasn't it the Bush/Cheney cadre that outed a CIA asset/spy Valerie Plame? By instructions to the treasonous 'journalist puppet', Robert Novak.

Seems to me WikiLeaks can't do worse than that.

addenda - the following day a massive 'denial of service' cyber attack took place against the WikiLeaks website. Thwarted for the time being because they anticipated it and had arrangements in place for temporary service if need be. They also released an encrypted file, called insurance.aes256, and encouraged people to download this file, where it could be made public at any time by with the release of the password by WikiLeaks! Already there are 61 seed sites available. The inner war is on.

update: The war against WikiLeaks seems to be heating up. As if the CIA is changing into high gear. Someone, somewhere is pulling out all the stops. Freedom of speech needs to be quashed. Ebay was influenced to stop renting WikiLeaks any bandwidth on its servers. Sweden is going to arrest Assange because two prostitutes have suddenly complained. Twitter has been threatened. PayPal forced to stop collecting donations. And now Mastercard too. Is this legal? Even a university forum had the warning to students from officials that anyone twittering or suggesting facebook contacts between WikiLeaks and humans could result in compromising future employment! Something ominous about the reaction to WikiLeaks from the powers that be, isn't there?

Lee Harvey Oswald.
While the world was still reeling at the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, we saw the alleged perpetrator of the crime, caught and killed only two days later, and on national TV!
And these many years on we can only marvel at the speed with which his apprehension for the crimes happened. And the positive assertion that Oswald was undoubtedly the lone killer of Officer Tippit and Kennedy.
All these instant conclusions would be astounding even in todays era of nanosecond web communication. Yet over these years so many nagging doubts still evoke questions.

Oswald was supposed to have shot Kennedy from a 6th floor coign of vantage in the Texas Schoolbook Depository, with a Mannlicher-Carcano rifle. But first it was identified as a 7.65 Italian Mauser, by sherrifs and FBI Special Agents. Affidavits were signed. Then it became a 6.5 Carcano rifle. Why? Because the FBI discovered that Oswald HAD purchased a Carcano, but NOT a Mauser. And even other rifles are now mentioned. And it took a world class marksman from the Army to nearly duplicate the 3 shots in 4.5 second feat! Other trained US Marine snipers said it could not be done.
And an almost perfect bullet 'appeared' on the stretcher bearing the President's body. A bullet that went through TWO bodies. That looks as if the Lone Ranger put it there!

Oswald was even identified by someone who SAW him up there from across the street! Is that believeable today?

Oswald was supposedly seen being questioned by Tippit shortly after leaving his job and taking to the streets. Witnesses said they saw him shoot Tippit. They even saw him REloading his handgun while fleeing! Does that sound like a frightened killer? Yet other witnesses said another car pulled up, a man got out and shot Tippit and then roared away! Someone else saw two men who were NOT Oswald. Witnesses even identified a different assailant as heavy set, wearing a long overcoat. Many witnesses claimed intimidations and threats about their testimonys. Several eye-witnesses died soon after.
The Warren Commission ignored most of it.

And what was Officer Tippit up to on the hour before he died? Why was he far out of his patrol area? Why did he suddenly rush to 10th Street and stop to make a phone call in a cafe but only listened and said nothing? Why did he seem panicked when he made the call? He left his car radio at a crucial time. Then he was seen cruising very slowly. Why was Tippit known in the area he died in? Some witnesses thought he lived nearby. But it was miles from his patrol area and his home?

How did anyone know Oswald's path of exit? Was it coincidence? Happenstance? Or enemy action? Officer Tippit was directed exactly where to go, minutes after the murder. Then radioed back when he was in position. Why was Tippit directed to 10th St? Was he? The Dallas police lieutenant who may have directed Tippit that day, Harry Dean Thomas, married his widow three years later.
The shells from the shooting were gathered by policeman, J.M. Poe, and he marked them with his initials, however the shell casings eventually entered into evidence had no such markings.

Oswald went to his rooming house first. Who were the two policemen who stopped in front, gave two horn honks and went away? Then he went to a movie theatre. Why did he go there instead of staying on a bus and getting far away? Was he under a prearranged instruction to go to that theatre? Part of a plan to have him where someone wanted him? Did someone give him a revolver there? Perhaps the very revolver just used to kill Tippit? Perhaps by the very person who DID kill Tippit? The revolver in his possession was fully loaded with no empty chambers. And he had no additional ammunition with him. So if Oswald shot Tippit four times, and REloaded, then he must have had only had four extra bullets with him? Seems too odd, doesn't it?

Oswald was constant in his claim that he was a patsy. He was innocent. He never shot anybody. And more than one scholar who has gone through the whole case has said the Mexico and Soviet Union implications could have easily pointed to Oswald being a CIA spy.
Alas, all these years later we are still suspicious, yet nowhere near advanced in our factuals about how it happened. The circumstances seem just too complex. The evidence now too scattered. Diffused. Lost. Misinformation and disinformation. Indeed, but we have more questions than ever.
His actions seem to be a response to suddenly realizing he had been set up. Confusion, desperation, the compounding of events leading him to take a predetermined escape route as his only hope. A route designed by who?

Lee Harvey Oswald was never actually charged with killing the Presdient.

So we shout back, Chemtrails! The mix lingers in the sky for hours! And on and on.

Then along comes an entirely different trail billowing up into the sky. The video recorded this time by a Sky2 News helicopter in Los Angeles. Even the glowing engine of the rocket can seen.

The Pentagon has since declared it as simply a CONtrail. Perhaps a jet on its way to Disneyland, er, okaaay.
The US Navy denies any knowledge. The Air Force says it doesn't know what it was. Vandenberg AFB denies any launchings.
One thing we might be sure of, if the Pentagon is telling us stuff about things like this, then we can be pretty sure they are lying, by their recent history of explaining how a 767 vanished into their own concrete building.
And if NORAD is reassuring us, then we can be pretty sure we should be afraid because of their history of being unable to scramble F18s against a threatening aircraft in the air for 40 minutes AFTER the WTC buildings 'collapsed'.

One thing all of us skywatchers on opposing sides of the CON/CHEMtrail debate do know, is what a missile launch looks like.
And that is a missile.

The scary part is if they REALLY don't know.

Conspiracy theorists. Where from?

The argument that many people who believe a certain conspiracy idea start out thinking in paranoic terms is not so. Those arguments are often convoluted and stretched to fit their premise. Some twisted minds automatically believe anything against a government, or corporation, or political party because of some pain they have been inflicted with.
Yet others begin with a simple, seemingly innocent question. A seed of an idea that begins to grow and bloom with either suspicious answers or a telling silence.

Conspiracies are born when someone tries to hide or distort the truth amid a series of obvious lies or through so many omissions that the prevarication becomes evident. When the simple seeking of information becomes purposely clouded in disinformation the red flags go up.

To name just a few suspicions that fuel these kinds of ideas;
The JFK conspiracy was born from just too many incidents: like when a pristine undeformed bullet appeared on JFK's stretcher carrying his body. AND when witnesses to the murder of officer Tippet conflicted yet only those who said they saw Oswald were used. AND when Oswald was shot within one day. AND, when the powers that be had to enlist the best army sharpshooter to duplicate shots with a Mannlicher-Carcano rifle from the Schoolbook Depository. AND when the people who heard and saw actions from the 'grassy knoll' were ignored. AND when 10 eyewitnesses 'mysteriously' died in the 6 months immediately after. And when Jack Ruby suddenly died. AND when the Warren Commission ignored or did NOT include many pertinent facts in their summery report. And even years later the fire was stoked again when George HW Bush lied about his presence in Dallas that day until it was proven he was there. Etc etc.
Is there a valid reason that people would NOT start to believe something was afoul?

The 9-11 conspiracy has been born because simple questions and what should be obvious evidence is being withheld from the public knowledge.
Like of the 214 surveillance camera sequences that were confiscated near the Pentagon by the FBI on the day, we only get 4 FRAMES to 'show' it was an airliner. AND when NORAD and the US military in charge of protecting America from terrorism is totally useless in that they don't scramble masses of F15s. AND when the First Responders, firemen and police all swear there were explosions in the basements of WTC 1 and 2. AND when a steel structured high rise building falls down from fire for the first time in history. AND when airliners crash into the earth and the Pentagon but leave NO trace when every previous crash in history does leave tail and fusilage. AND when the steel is immediately shipped off to China before the NTSB can even do a single test of that steel. AND when President George W Bush is called to testify it is behind closed doors with an agreement that nothing will be recorded and he brings his 'handler', Dick Cheney with him.

Other conspiracies form from a history of stealth and manipulation, from the first denials of friendly fire incidents to `false flag` operations. Like when it is PROVEN that the Gulf of Tonkin incident was faked. And that Agent Orange WAS sprayed over innocent people. And when the CIA actually have the resources to start their own secret airline. And when the US Government admits to having 83,000 employees doing nothing but adding misinformation, counteracting negative publicity and conspiracy theories in newspapers, web forums etc, thereby spreading DISinformation.

Conspiracy theorists are not the paranoids who would shout about the voices they hear in their heads, even though those sufferers jump onto the theories right away, no, conspiracy theorists are those who only want a simple answer that they KNOW is easily given but withheld for whatever reason. They are the ones who, only through the process of elimination of the spin stories, see that the truth, whatever it may be, is being manipulated and fed to the people.
Accepting that manufactured truth is something certain people cannot do. In spite of the shadow of fear and threat cast with it. It defies their logic, reason and intelligence.

Call them what you will, but they are willing to face the ridicule in searching for the truth.
Kind of a brave thing to do, actually.

On this day in 1938. Orson Welles went onto the radio airwaves with a fictional broadcast of a Martian invasion of Earth; War of the Worlds. The radio show, from Mercury Theatre on the Air, was written to sound like breaking news. The War of the Worlds was adapted from HG Wells' novel, written, directed and narrated by Orson Welles.
People were shot by fearful others. It caused caused panic in the streets. Aliens were seen everywhere, and even though the broadcast frequently issued disclaimers that it was only entertainment, Welles' script was so believable to the thousands who were tuned in that havoc ensued and in the succeeding days, turned to outrage over having been duped so convincingly.
Perhaps Orson Welles revealed how easily masses of people could be manipulated into fear.
And did Joseph Goebells, who was then Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany take notice too, that scary night in 1938? He perfected the Big Lie technique in propaganda, which is based on the principal that a lie, if audacious enough, and repeated enough times, will be believed by the masses.
Today many thousands suspect the prewar episode was updated for the 21st century, the action a little different, the alien characters changed, modern technologically enhanced, and repeated on September 11, 2001 with Dick Cheney in the Orson Welles part.

The people remain manipulated into fear and perhaps believing the big, audacious, repeated lie.

Cell Phones on Airlines: Coming Soon to a Seat Near You?

More and more international airlines are offering in-flight cell services and it might not be long before calls are routine on domestic U.S. flights as well. Cathay Pacific has now announced that, starting in 2012, it will equip its entire fleet with an onboard cell phone system for GSM mobile phones. Virgin Atlantic announced a similar plan last month for its newest planes.
Here in the U.S. the Federal Communications Commission prevents domestic carriers from following their international peers, and legislation is pending in Congress to ban in-flight cell-phone conversations. But some in the industry say it's only a matter of time before American airlines start bringing voice communication to the friendly skies.

Aviation Week, in 2004 printed - 'Qualcomm and American Airlines are exploring ways for passengers to use commercial cell phones inflight for air-to-ground communication'. They did a test with the aircraft being equipped with a special antenna in the front and rear of the cabin to transmit cell phone calls to a small in-cabin CDMA cellular base station. This "pico cell" transmitted cell phone calls from the aircraft via a Globalstar satellite to the worldwide terrestrial phone network.
Randy Petersen, editor and publisher of InsideFlyer magazine said, "We will see this in U.S. airplanes in the near future."

In the future? WTF?
Don't these people who are on the cutting edge of modern cell phone technology realize that way back there in September of 2001, there were several cell calls made with 2001 technology cell phones from an aircraft at speed up there at altitude in the sky?
Didn't they hear Mark Bingham say "Hello Mom, this is your son Mark Bingham."? He also said, "You believe me, don't you?"
Did they miss Cee Cee Lyles saying, "I'm on a plane. I'm on a plane that's been hijacked. I'm calling from the plane." and "Tell my children I love them ..." Not naming her children.
And a whole mess of other cell phone calls, all purportedly from that tragic Flight 93 while flying way up there in the air.

And a note; cell phone calls are not to be confused with airphone calls.

Nice to think that someday we'll be able to call friends and relatives from a plane in the air from a cell phone! Wonder who made all those other calls on that day?

Haven't these advanced thinking techies ever heard of 9-11? Shanksville? UAL Flight 93? Well evidently not.

Is Obama a secret muslim?

The questions from the radical right and the so called Tea Party keep coming, Is Obama a muslim?

Spurred on by people like Glen Beck and Sarah Palin. It is a question that incites their redneck followers. Almost igniting them with the same vitriol the radical muslims display against Americans.

But President Obama has refuted the query time and time again. Of course the Republicans don't separate the idea that Obama's Christian pastor got into trouble during the election campaign for being too outspoken about Barak. They went after him then but now they have a new exciting bone to chew on, thereby conveniently ignoring the contradiction of Obama's Christian past. The mentality of those rapt listeners to Beck, Limbaugh and Palin cannot differentiate between Obama and Osama. Compounded by FOX News.

Perhaps a better question to ask might be: Is George HW Bush a muslim? Secretly or otherwise?

Take a look at his past;

- He has many connections through his oil industry companies to the Saudis and their money.

- While Director of the CIA, he provided training for the Saudi Royal Family Palace Guard.

- A connection through Osama Bin Laden bankrolled his son, GW Bush's first venture into oil.

- Part of the Gulf War agreements were to have the US Army in Saudi Arabia to protect the Royal Family, these troops were confined to the desert and never allowed off base or into towns. The Saudis themselves never even knew the hated Americans were on their soil to defend them against the so called threat of Saddam Hussein.

- George HW Bush was a close enough friend to visit the private Bin Laden family compound in Saudi-Arabia.

- There was a presidential briefing from the CIA in which Osama Bin Laden and al Qaeda's aim of launching an attack against the US was mentioned. To this day, the George W Bush White House has refused to release the contents of that briefing to Congressional inquiries into 9-11.

- On the morning of 9-11, Bush Sr was at a meeting in Washington. Osama Bin Laden's brother was also at that meeting.

- Two days later, when every aircraft in the whole USA was grounded, 140 Saudi Nationals and 24 members of the Bin Laden family were allowed to fly out of the USA on eight planes without questioning.

- The George W Bush Administration refused to place several Saudi charities and individuals on the terror watch list. The names were classified by GW Bush and never made public.

- Even certain CIA agents with Middle East experience have questioned the close relationship between the Bush family and the Saudi elite which led to the intelligence failure that culminated in the attack of 9-11.

Perhaps there is only conjecture here about the Bush family connections to the Saudis. But one must conclude that the Bush Family are far more worthy of scrutiny and suspicion of being muslims than Barak Obama.

Google, the search engine to become it's own entity, was introduced by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998. Google now has it's own definition in Websters.
We have our own reasons to like Google.
The Patriot Act was rushed through congress only 45 days after the horrendous actions at the WTC on September 11, 2001. And many believe that it allows federal authorities, including the FBI and CIA to spy on US citizens without their knowledge. They can do secret searches of your home without telling you, for instance.

What is also suspicious to some, is the fact that the government under George Bush Jr and then Attorney General John Ashcroft started selling the act only 11 days after September 11, 2001, causing the idea that it was part of the same preparations long before any planes crashed.

To be specific about why we like Google - Homeland Security under the Patriot Act, allows the FBI to obtain records from businesses, including hospitals, bookstores and libraries, and permits federal agents to ask financial institutions whether terrorism suspects have accounts with them, all in secret and without the knowledge of the persons being investigated.
This includes all your email transcripts, all your web surfing records, and all your internet search quests! And without warrants and by the new law, your web Internet Service Providers are forbidden under penalty of law to advise you your web records have been compromised!
Literally all the search engine companies complied without a whimper ...

Except Google, who resisted the government and said they would allow no such thing without warrants and proper legalities by the government. Google's lawyers were bristling for a fight. But alas, we're not sure what ensued in this regard because it all went quiet after this initial rebeliousness.
But we are right to suspect that the same actions might have been implemented as against Microsoft to get the government's way. (see that post here)

At any rate, we wish Google continued antagony against government control of any part of the web.

Just a few thoughts

Imagine, if you can, what would have happened in Iran had the US not invaded and killed Saddam Hussein?
We all seem to agree today that there were no weapons of mass destruction as defined by Bush and Cheney. And we all know that Saddam hated terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda. And we all know he had a strong army in the Revolutionary Guards. Maybe not against American air power and might, but certainly capable to keeping Iran and Syria at bay.
As a matter of fact, when one goes back into the history of George Bush Senior's 1991 war, we see that it was the US who betrayed Saddam, not the reverse. All for the advantage of a Kuwaiti Sheik.
So what can we expect in the future of that area because of these events? Well if you carefully glean the truth out of what some of the few independent reporters like Michael Ware say, we can wonder why the US is losing control even with the huge US military presence. Aggressive and bold action by opposing forces in Baghdad is keeping foreigners pinned into their bunkers and barracks. Car bombs are no longer the weapons in the countryside, they are daily occurrances within the supposedly controlled cities.
Embedded reporters only tell you what is approved to tell you.
(by the way, up until 2008, over 47 so called independent reporters have mysteriously been killed)
So assuming a scenario where the US did NOT kill Saddam, therefore sending the country into it's present chaos, what would have happened?
I believe that Saddam would have become a staunch and serious ally to the peaceful interests in the Middle East.
Iraq was a buffer between Iran and Syria, crucial now with the unknown nuclear ambitions of Iran. With American help, (much less costly than the present situation) Saddam would have had a strong influence in the region and would likely have deterred any aggressive plans against Israel. The spark of a potential conflagration.
Instead of daily bombings in Baghdad and other towns, we would have had Iraq as a showcase for peaceful negotiations and sensibilities with a dynamic economy.
Saddam Hussein would have been been a strong and feared opponent of terrorist plans in the Middle East and how they seep into the Western democracies. A model to other countries like Pakistan that co existence with the West IS a realistic option.
One can reason that in spite of Saddam's methods of controlling his own people, and his excesses, hundreds of American and alliance soldiers would be alive today.
The war in Iraq will never be seen as futile. That part of history will never be written by those involved, but that doesn't mean the thoughts are not in the minds of millions on both sides of the equation.

Are you eating cloned beef?

They are in Britain. Apparently some beef from a slaughtered steer, which happened to be the offspring of a cloned cow got into the food chain. And someone actually ate it!
I have no idea what this means.
But isn't this what happens to people who become Spiderman? Or Stoneman or Hellboy or other Superheros. They get stung by a radioactive spider and go from there with strange powers. But the comic books only show you the good guys.
Are we gonna get Steerman? Some creepy snorting guy with steel horns and cloven hooves and bad bull breath who is pissed off because he ate cloned beef full of chemicals and stuff and became a SuperANTIhero?
How could it happen that this beef wasn't more carefully controlled?
I tend not to trust the beef industry anyway. It's too important. To them cattle people. And MacDonalds even.
The talk/scare of Mad Cow Disease has died down. I was told that there were only 3 or 6 cases in all of Canada.
If that is true how come I know two of those who died this terrible death personally? Do you believe the industry would tell us?
I think everyone is lying about it. The Canadian beef industry needs to sell in the US. And the US doesn't want to send out any more bad alarms like previously when billions was lost on spooked hamburger eaters and backyard steak BBQers.
Now we have to worry about engineered beef joining the long list of fruit and veggie Frankenfoods.
Perhaps we should gather up those Brits who ate this beef and stop them from breeding.

Grand Banks fish - Grand Banks oil

Sorry, but some people, me, think this way.
Isn't it strange that the cod fishery on the Newfoundland Grand Banks was in alarming decline and yet overfishing was still allowed for years?
Now the cod are gone and have no chance to recover. One of the world's great fisheries, just like BC wild salmon, was allowed to die.
And once those fish were gone, and before any recovery talk could get started or studied or planned, we had the Hibernia undersea oil wells getting drilled and rushed into production.
Hmm.

Of course this one needs a lot more retroactive investigation. Like someone putting together who was who in power in government those days and who was in power in what oil companies in those days.
And in the governments' cases, it doesn't mean who had the power to actually DO something, but one must also look at who had the power to NOT do something. Yes?

Just asking. There might have been something fishy here.

This is a serious situation.
The American government and the military establishment have already tried to destroy the website, wikileaks.org, and now with the revelation of thousands of documents revealed about the war in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan etc. They are suddenly offline again.

One of those documents reveals that a heat seeking missile shot down a helicopter where a Canadian was killed. It would be suspected that the missile could be American, supplied to the mujahideen in the 80s to fight the Soviets occupation. (and yes, if you've been on Mars or somewhere, the Russians got kicked out of Afghanistan just like the Americans were kicked out of Vietnam)

In a time when the rumors say that the heroin trade is bigger than ever, the Taliban have much more control than we are being told about, and independent reporters mysteriously disappear, interfering with wikileaks is a threat to freedom of expression and an attempt at total censorship and the manipulation of the truth.

As you know, all the news we get about Iraq and Afghanistan from the so called 'embedded' reporters is subject to scrutiny by the military. Embedded reporters are nothing but spokespeople for the military. It is becoming evident that many in the military do not agree with the progress of the wars and are willing to be whistleblowers about what is actually happening.

Shutting down wikileaks is a blatant suppression of free speech under the guise of security.

The police caught the crook in nine minutes. Because the iPhone was equiped with a GPS system.
The owner clicked into his iPhone on a computer and tracked it! And the police were able to SEE the iPhone moving down a nearby street.
Hmm, do you wonder if ALL iPhones could have secretly installed GPS sytems on them? Does Steve Jobs owe the US Government something the same as Bill Gates did?
Hmm.
Will all cell phones have GPS in the future. So you never get lost? Sure, sure we believe that, maybe so you'll never get lost from surveilance.

Slow down, not that easy. I don't want to frighten you, but it's all of them. Or at least all the channels the masses will watch.
So, looking at the TV schedule for tonight I see a new show premiering; Revenge of the Bridesmaids.
Silent pause here while dear reader tries to figure out what is conspiratorial in such an inane production. Just wait. The inanity IS the conspiracy. WTF you say?

So I went to look for more silliness. Not even thinking of the soaps every weekly morning. Or the judge shows every weakly midday. Or talk in the afternoons. Those watchers are already like waterlogged Rice Crispies. As are the Entertainment Tonight people.
So what else can you add to back up whatever tangled argument you're about to make, you ask? Starting with what IS the theory here?
The conspiracy is that conditioning you into NON thinking makes it very easy to use you for whatever purpose is the end result.
Hmm, non thinking TV. Is that a concept?

Yes. There's Two and a Half Men, the Bachelorette, Seinfeld everywhere, The Real Housewives of ... , Desperate Housewives, Wife Swap, The Week the Women Went, all those weak endless mindless sitcoms with laugh tracks, made by weak endless mindless laughers. These people laugh when they see their cereal in the morning! The Simpsons adult cartoons, 90210 'B' edition, CBC even has Little Mosque on the Prairie, making those muslims such fun folk. We all love Raymond and hate Chris in a fun and harmless way.
Why do you think these shows are out there in VacancyLand? To lull you away from reality. To keep you from thinking.

And that is true of the so called reality shows too. Full of desperate competition in the sweaty jungle, signed onto by desperate actors with ironclad security no talk agreements in their contracts, yet Craft Services with donuts just beyond the crocodile lurking in the piranha infested pond.
But it's not all pap, you say, there are great action shows on TV too. What about 24 Hours, Law and Order; SVU, Criminal Minds, CSI Miami? These shows ALWAYS get the bad guy. Sometimes the cops chase the bad guys at 100 mph right through your neighborhood and get him when he crashes. Disregarding any children on the streets of course, because that scum was doing drugs. Good guys always win. Don't worry folks, we're protecting you. You saw it. Go back to sleep.

Sports watchers are even worse. Baseball and beer. What could be more harmless? What could be more mindless? Sports guys fall for anything that keeps the game going. Look at the ratings for the LeBron James special! NBA feeds an excited soundtrack into their TV games. NFL is totally formula. Nothing else going on in the world as long as the Sunday game is on.
Let's not even talk about Sunday religion lest I bring up Jimmy Swaggart televangelist syndrome.

But this is silly, how could this conspiracy happen? Easy if the top brass knew they only had to compete against the same idiocy from the other networks. Did any TV executives attend the Bilderberg conferences?
What about the news reports? The hard core information shows. Hmm?
Investigative reporting? Why didn't anyone tell us about Enron, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers before it happened? Why are we just understanding that the Federal Reserve has nothing to do with the US Federal Government? Sorry, Edward R Murrow is dead folks, even if his awards live on. And there are some who think that Fox News should have a laugh track!
Now it's embedded reporters telling you what they are allowed to tell you and showing you what is deemed okay to show you? Embedded. Which means rules for reporting. And military controlled reporting. Did you know up until 2009 over 47 independent reporters were mysteriously killed in Iraq? Yeah, a whole nuther topic.

But there ARE thinking shows out there. I heard of one, you say.
Well here is another niggling little point I want to make; Analogue TV is also going if it isn't gone already. You get what that means? No more broadcast TV stations to send out a signal over the free airwaves, to be snatched out of the ether by a set of rabbit ears. ALL TV will be cable only!
No one can take over a TV station to tell you that Blackwater (Xe now) is coming and to run for your bunker or the hills. You only get what is in that cable system. What is programmed into that cable system. Easy to control and manipulate. Maybe already shot, recorded and edited. Ready to go on the day.
Just follow the directions and we'll look after you folks. Go back to sleep.

Is it me or is facebook actually a CIA site?

Is facebook simply a website built by some Bilderberg Group shadow government working within the stealthy labyrinth of the CIA to cross-reference everyone everywhere so that they can keep track of you and know who is dangerous to the Grand Plan?

Doesn't anyone else notice the subtleties of the facebook sign up?

You start with your email address. Okay, everyone does that, but the next is DOB, Date of Birth, always the standard for police identification. Then you go through all these Steps.

Step 2 asks your high school, what years, then college, and your EMPLOYER!

Step 3 wants a photo of you! Nice, feeds right into the face recognition software. Remember during the Atlanta Olympic Games where every single person who went into the stadium was ID'd by a computer that read faces?

Step 4 asks your interests. This one is sneaky. They show picture icons and you pick out several items and compile them. Sort of like those IQ tests a job interview gives you, where they make deductions about your personality based on your choices.

They want your team favorites first. Innocent enough. Hockey teams etc. And whether you like lots of the celebrities shown too and watch their TV shows. You pick out a picture and add it to your interests. Among all these Hollywood types they sneak Barak Obama in there. Hmmm? No Dick Cheney or John McCain. Obama MUST trigger something. You can pick Snoop Dogg too. Does that mean you are disillusioned and listening to rap laments about society? And Bob Marley! What does THAT tell them about you, you old pothead! A sixties rebel? You can activate your mobile phone too. Wow, nice to give them more info. Did you know that modern mobiles have a GPS system built in? To communicate with the satellite of course. Coincidentally pinpointing exactly where you are standing at the moment! And then you can find people you know. Doesn't matter to them if you actually find them or not, it is the SEARCH that counts. You are giving them names! You know these people. They know you. Perfect cross-referencing.

facebook talks about your privacy too. Reassuring you. Telling you about how you can make yourself private. But that is from your 'friends', NOT the site webmasters! It's like those spam emails you get and they give you an email address to take yourself off their lists! And all you are really doing is confirming to them that they have an active email addy. Now you are worth more when they sell you!

And your profile on facebook. There's a system; City where you live. City you were born in. Interests again. Political views! Wait! Yes really. Religious views. OMG. Do you believe in Jesus or Allah or the Great Pumpkin? More relationships. Family members with pictures! Really. Your present employer and what you do there! It becomes a resume too! Your activities. And phone numbers of course.

So there you are, signed up and laid bare. Viewable by whomever. Stripped of your skin. You cranium pealed back. Imagine your head is now transparent! All the synapses snap crackling and popping with ideas. Is facebook a resource for the CIA? For someone else? And the fact that the shadow people chuckle about, is that YOU did it yourself!

Wait, here's one more. There was this game there you could play. Looked simple enough, called Bubble Popp!

So I clicked it. I got this message : This game needs your profile information, photos, your friend's profile information that it REQUIRES to work!

Think of this; if the whole idea was to cut the world population from 6 billion to a workable 500 million. (as has been expressed in several realms as part of the New World Order) Would they just grab bunches of folks from everywhere? Or would they choose carefully to get what someone has decided are good traits for the future controlled population of Earth? The technology is there to do just that.
And add this to your secreted mental picture: everything you just gave them become the property of facebook! You can never delete it!

So does our hope for a future free world society rest on the Minutemen? Or those guys who have underground bunkers on their farms? The crazy people stocking up on ammo? On the society drop-outs? The beggars on the boulevard?

Oh don't mind me, I am just suspicious and paranoid by nature. But who is that guy in the dark hat over there in the shadow beneath the street lamp?

Conspiracy theory 3 ... Microsoft

Do you remember a few years ago the US Government threatened Microsoft under antitrust laws?
Funny how that interest sort of faded. But only for a while. Like they were regrouping somewhere in the cellars of the Pentagon or the NSA or the White House. Down there in the dark among the lizards.
Then the Government came charging back with a fury and threatened to dismantle Microsoft into three separate companies. They feared Microsoft had way too much power because of their monopolistic position in the computer market? That is bad, they said.
But wait, someone might have exclaimed, wouldn't a monopoly be a GOOD thing if a government could use it to control people and identify where they were and what they were saying and doing and thinking? And the road was headed to everyone owning a computer? And wouldn’t those puters most likely have the Windows Operating System? Isn't Windows on 98% of all computers with XP, Vista or now Windows 7 OS?
Have you noticed that when you go to a website, and then delete or clear all your cookies, and then go back to that website some time later, they seem to know who you are?
Didn't Microsoft put a unique number into your operating system under the hype that it was a good thing to control piracy of their software? Then under waves of protest from the public they said they wouldn't TURN ON that unique identifying number? Or at least YOU could turn it off? And doesn't your hard drive have a unique number too? Did you know that even your CD burner imprints a unique number onto every CD you burn identifying the actual burner? And your digital camera does the same thing. Even if you steal it from the web, someone can find out who TOOK that picture. And when and where?

Didn't the FBI come out with a sneaky computer spy system called Carnivore a few years ago, that could read the contents of any computer it wanted through your server? Then they changed the name because it seemed too ominous and scary and 1984ish? Funny how the past can scare us.
Carnivore could see every single email you sent to whomever and every word you typed into your hard drive or internet browser? Mostly Microsoft’s Internet Explorer of course. Including every password and user name you ever used in a chat room or discussion forum? And didn't all this happen at about the same time as Microsoft introduced Windows XP? And didn't the US hold these server companies hostage by threatening to shut them down unless they installed Carnivore into their systems without telling anyone? Without telling their customers? You.
Sorry for all these rhetorical questions, but ….

Doesn't Homeland Security and the Patriot Act give the government pitbulls the power to do anything they want without telling anyone about what they are doing? To fight terrorism they say? Hmm.
Isn't Microsoft starting to add things now to updates of its software without making it clear to technical people exactly what those updates are or what they are supposed to do? In Windows Media player some technicians have compared the guts of Media Player 9.0 with Media Player 10.0 and can't find the differences? So why the update?
Would the US government and Bill Gates have made a secret deal somewhere in the shadowy bowels of the Pentagon with all those Gila Monsters to allow Microsoft to continue as one company, so long as the Justice department had access to the Windows Operating System? Wouldn’t proud papa Bill Gates have done anything to avoid the Sophie’s choice decision about his company? His precious family. His birth child.
After all, we all know that starting a company becomes your googly baby, your loving family and you nurture it along the way until it becomes something to be proud of like your son growing up to be famous? And wouldn’t any worried parent have done what he had to do to keep it all together? Bill Gates being no exception?
I don't know ... wouldn’t he?

Er ... would the US government be that sneaky as to threaten Bill Gates into a deal that allowed them to monitor the masses through the most used computer system in the world? Oops, sorry for yet another rhetorical question, but I was there in the sixties.
I have not lost faith. I still believe in the sneakiness of certain humans who want their way. And I understand the vulnerability of parents who fear for their children. And I still know that stealthy power-mongering forces attempt to run the world from the dark side.

I wonder how many of you belong to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Digg, etc? If you are already a member it is probably too late for you. If you have not signed up yet, you need to consider the future for your ilk and offspring.
Right now there are probably millions of people in North America who are basically unaccounted for. Illegal immigrants of course, but many more who might have been here for years and never bothered to sign up for anything. Farmers, hunters living in the bush, hermits, the homeless, drifters, hoboes riding the rails, hidden in boxcars from the prying eyes of the rulesmakers, people who just disappeared. However these seem to be mostly older folk who have somehow been excluded from society and just became loners. But they'll die off soon, they're not the targets.

Today's youth are up to their pierced ears in the computer generation. And you KNOW you have an ISP number that identifies some things about you. And the hard drive within your computer has a unique ID number too.
Of course everyone is into the computer age. Including people who just might, sometime, want to know what you are doing out there in broad band land. Like what are you texting from your cellphone, sending on your Blackberry or commenting from your iPod? And to who? The governments in North America at least, and one suspects Britain and Euro countries are the same, have wonderful computers that can keep track of BILLIONS of facts and figures easily. Billions of course, meaning every single person on Earth. Many billions also meaning all those people AND every other single person that THEY know or have known. Six degrees of separation compressed into one nanosecond flash. More like six bytes now.

If you have signed up for facebook, for instance, you've already told someone everything about yourself. Including DOB, date of birth, which is used mainly for all police identification, and you even gave them your mother's maiden name! Your long dead dog who got run over when you were six, where you lived before now and before that. Where your Grandpaw came from. What you ate for breakfast, your fave foods, stores, cars, people, books, art. Your user name. Tatoos too, proud of that high flying trapezium? Almost as good as DNA for identifying you.
Sheeez it is endless.
But it is so much fun for the youth of today. Tweat your daily activities. Twitter your plans. Bleat your intentions, Blab your past. Write on your Wall. Message me, message all.
Not unlike those scribbles on washroom walls that used to say, 'for a good time call Gloria at 555-IM1-RU12'. And you wrote it down on a square of toilet paper. Today that square could hold your family history with a millennium to go.

And once you've entered all your pertinent info. You'll be into the broad band of fun fun fun and have .... ahem .... 'friends'. They promise.
Have you noticed how many governments are now embracing the internet? They are beginning to love it. The CIA, NSA, FBI, CSIS, MI5-6 and maybe even the KGB don't even have to go looking for you anymore in order to find out things about you. And if you suspect stuff like I do, then you KNOW that a windfall of information is there for the taking. Electronic surveillance with little effort. They simply set up their own social site, promote the hell out of it and have those millions of clickers come to simply donate the information needed to keep track of you.

David Sarnoff, the head of Radio Corporation of America gave copies of Japanese RCA telegrams to Naval Intelligence. The CIA had its own airline in the sixties, Air America used for whatever nefarious purposes. They probably used taxpayer's cash to finance propaganda movies like United 93 and write totally fictitious dialogue to make themselves heroes. Google Gulf of Tonkin and see what you get. And using their own form of Google in their own computers will bring results on you too.

Not likely to be connected at all. So the ISP number betrays you. That sneaky little hard drive number defines it closer. I even had to supply my modem serial number for tech support from my new cable internet provider. You know of course, that literally everything you do goes through your modem. And consequently your emails and chat room conversations can be monitored and recorded. And you once had that argument on a forum about gun control and the NWO. Remember? At the risk of breaking the laws of the Patriot Act, your ISP MUST provide information to Homeland Security and cannot even tell YOU that you are being watched.

Oh yes, you are THAT guy or girl? The one who keeps asking for friends from British Columbia who went to school in East Vancouver in 1982.
We might need to watch you, 82 was a convulsive year. We might want to eliminate all 1982 people someday. The planets align people's genes in a certain way at certain times and they're all threats.

Yes, those old drifters in and out of reality are harmless. Huddled at the back of the boxcar amid the cowchips. Barely seen through the slats. They've learned how to be invisible. Forgotten. But the young who sign up for fun and good times are the ones at risk. And their children. And in their future, a genome lottery might determine whether your family line even continues in humanity.

Conspiracy theory ... 2 - Dag Hammarskjold

Sweden's Dag Hjalmar Agne Carl Hammarskjöld was Secretary-General of the United Nations from 10 April 1953 until 18 September 1961 when he met his death in a plane accident while on a peace mission in the Congo.
An accident.

In 1960, when President Joseph Kasa-Vubu and Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba of the Republic of the Congo sent a cable on 12 July asking 'urgent dispatch' of United Nations military assistance to the Congo, Secretary-General Hammarskjöld addressed the Security Council at a night meeting on 13 July and asked the Council to act 'with utmost speed' on the request. Following Security Council actions the United Nations Force in the Congo was established and the Secretary-General himself made four trips to the Congo in connection with the United Nations operations there. The first two trips were made in July and August 1960 and January 1961. The fourth began on 12 September 1961 and terminated with the fatal plane accident.

Natural resources of the Congo: petroleum, timber, potash, lead, zinc, uranium, copper, phosphates, natural gas, hydropower.

Patrice Lumumba helped found the Mouvement National Congolais (MNC) in 1958. Lumumba and the MNC formed the first government on June 23, 1960, with Lumumba as Prime Minister.
Upon independence in 1960, the former French region of Middle Congo became the Republic of the Congo and began a flirtation with Marxism.
Hammarskjöld’s most dangerous problem of the newly liberated Congo arose in July, 1960, when the new government, faced with mutiny in its army, secession of its province of Katanga, under Moise Tshombe, and intervention of Belgian troops, asked the United Nations for help. The UN responded by sending a peace-keeping force, with Hammarskjöld in charge of operations.
Despite the arrival of UN troops, unrest continued as the USA had interest to see the Belgians remain in the country. And Patrice Lamumba sought Soviet aid. But in September Lumumba was dismissed from the government by Kasavubu, an act of dubious legality. On September 14 a coup d'état headed by Colonel Joseph Mobutu (later Mobutu Sese Seko) and supported by Kasavubu gained power. Lumumba was captured in Port Francqui on December 1, 1960 by troops of Mobutu, arrested and flown to Leopoldville in handcuffs. Mobutu said Lumumba would be tried for inciting the army to rebellion and other crimes.

United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjöld made an appeal to Kasavubu asking that Lumumba be treated according to due process of law. The USSR denounced Hammarskjöld and the Western Powers as responsible for Lumumba's arrest and demanded his release.
When the situation deteriorated during the year that followed, Hammarskjöld had to deal with almost insuperable difficulties in the Congo and with criticism in the UN. The last crisis for him came in September, 1961, when, arriving in Leopoldville to discuss details of UN aid with the Congolese government, he learned that fighting had erupted between Katanga troops and the noncombatant forces of the UN.
Sometime in the night of September 17-18, Dag Hammarskjöld and fifteen others perished when their plane crashed close to Ndola airport, near the border between Katanga and North Rhodesia. The details of that crash are still unknown.

A plane crash was an easy thing to engineer and accomplish in those days of naivity among Western nations. The Soviet bloc was after uranium. The USA was trying to keep them away from a source of supply. Hammarskjöld was working toward a democratic republic for the Congo and became a stumbling block for Soviet domination of the resource rich region, especially that all important uranium.

The quarter century of experimentation with Marxism was abandoned in 1990 and a democratically elected government was installed in 1992. The Republic of Congo is one of Africa's largest petroleum producers with significant potential for offshore development.

In July 2002, documents released by the United States government revealed that the CIA had played a role in Lumumba's assassination, aiding his opponents with money and political support, and – in the case of Mobutu – with weapons and military training. Did the USA actually supply Katanga troops with weapons with which to fight against the UN peace keeping forces?

The former USSR has never released any documents saying they or the KGB engineered Dag Hammarskjöld’s plane crash. Perhaps they’re buried somewhere within the permafrost depths of the Kremlin or Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow?

Protest messengers

Many people are angry at the protesters who appeared on day one of the Olympic games up in Vancouver, and rightly so. A few protesters who could not organize enough to put out a cohesive effort and make a point, (whatever it was) was subject to an attention grabbing cadre of violent thugs. The police and public pushed back and the protesters were diminished and the point was lost. However the impression of violence remained.
As we all know deep down, walking the streets with signs, writing letters, shouting and screaming just doesn't work. The powers that be, meaning most corporations and banks, find that laughable and it has NO influence on their plans. The fact is that corporations are now basically running the world, including many governments. Scruffy characters walking the streets with signs just doesn't cut it. However, lobbyists in expensive suits with secret agendas is working.
So how does the messenger get the word out without being shot?

Perhaps it is all in who shoots first?
Years ago when the Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ) needed to assert itself they realized they needed drastic action. They kidnapped Pierre Laporte and murdered him, causing the October Crisis and attention on their cause. A clear and attention demanding message as to what it was.
The Squamish Five, basically environmental activists, began by engaging in vandalism, spurred by special environmental exemptions given to mining companies by government. This quickly became bombing attacks, to get the cognizance of the people. Concentration of the mind through ultra violence worked again.
There are many more instances since of taking extreme measures to make the point which some activists need to expose. They are labeled terrorists today. And that's what they are.
The roving tear-gas filled protests in Seattle at the WTO conference did eventually center the public's attention through the smoke on the ramifications of trade agreements that don't consider humans in the corporate mix. People did begin to ask, 'What are they protesting?' and the message seeped out.

So the protesters at the Vancouver Olympics breaking store windows was more of an act of disjointed hoodlumism than a real protest, but it did occupy the media for a few days. Any serious communication by the original paraders was missed, stolen by those few visuals of violence.
And it seems that as the weeks and months pass on, the corporations, governments, New World Order, and criminal organizations will take a little more power. And the populace will lose a few more freedoms.
In today's world, the event of note needs to be desperate and violent to capture attention. But is the action negated without a clear and simple understandable message which appeals to the people? Preaching anarchy for it's own sake doesn't work. And anyone who brings that message will be shot down before the purpose can be expressed. Shot down literally as in Kent State 1970.

It seems the message has to read like a movie script to work. What is wrong? Why is it wrong? And who is responsible for making it wrong. And most important, proof of what they have done to cause the problem. Michael Moore has the formula but then he is rich enough to produce it. And a solution must be offered.
It's not quite a plutocracy, not quite an oligarchy, and not quite anarchy, even though they the small group within a group display that graphic a on their black banner. It seems what they are really protesting is the corporate enslavement of the people.

And we know from decades long campaigns against cigarette companies, for instance, by governments and organized activists, that deflecting the terrifying consequence of corporate greed with huge money works, and protest through peaceful, legal means does not.
What we remember in the theater of the Olympic Games is that shocking image of black-clad masked thugs smashing chairs through windows. If there HAD been a true message there, we would now know it. Right or wrong. However uneasy the thought, we know that violence works, from the Mafia to the Hell's Angels to the suicide bombers in Iraq, we know.

So what is left for the messenger? Shoot first and answer questions later?

Conspiracy theory ... 1 - General George S. Patton

Unlike many war heroes who had no intention of ever becoming famous, George S. Patton decided during childhood that his goal in life was to be a hero. This noble aim was first inspired by listening to his father read aloud for hours about the exploits of the heroes of ancient Greece.

We are aware of General Patton’s accomplishments during World War II. But there are niggling factors after the war in 1945 which are also interesting;
Patton was not about to slow down or shut up after his military successes in Europe. No one knew quite what to do with him. He was a true hawk. One congressman even proposed that he be made Secretary of War, but Patton's lack of diplomacy guaranteed the suggestion was never taken seriously.

In Germany, while on occupation duty after a visit to the States during which he was welcomed with parades as a conquering hero, Patton's outspokenness got him into trouble yet again when he tried justifying the use of ex-Nazis in important administrative positions during the occupation of Bavaria. (In Sun Tzu's ancient treatise, The Art of War, he proposes, 'The captured soldiers should be kindly treated and kept. This is called, using the conquered foe to augment one's own strength. Of course General Patton read it.)

Patton had also been willing to make known his view that the United States and Britain should re-arm the Germans and fight the Russians. He had great respect for German soldiers. Patton knew, along with many others, who the real enemy was going to be. And he was credited with saying, “We ought to keep going.”
Other comments that set alertness and esoteric interest among his enemies were that he had expressed his views to reporters that U.S. plans for post-war Germany were "foolish and stupid" and would lead to Soviet attempts to take over Western Europe. "I was intentionally direct because I believed that it was time for the people to know what was going on," he recalled before his death. Those enemies might not have all been Russians.

These comments and beliefs however, showed that Patton's temperament was somewhat of a liability in peacetime. In many ways, it would have been fitting for Patton the warrior to have died on the battlefield, but that was not to be. Despite the fact that throughout his military career he had constantly exposed himself to danger, it was a traffic accident, not a bullet, which took Patton's life. In December 1945, one day before he was due to return to the United States, Patton was severely injured in a road accident when his car was hit by a truck near Mannheim, Germany. Paralyzed from the neck down, George Patton died of an embolism on 21st December 1945.
Emboli are caused by clots from the venous circulation, from the right side of the heart, from tumors that have invaded the circulatory system, or from other sources such as amniotic fluid, air, fat, bone marrow, and foreign substances. Sudden death can occur as a result of embolism. Injecting AIR into a vein or artery is easily done.
He was buried in Luxembourg, a country which still considers George S. Patton its liberator.

Did the emerging USSR deem Patton to be far too dangerous to live? What if he returned to the US and countered his detractors by seeking political power? Was it possible that he, now a national hero, could become president of the United States? Patton was a student of war history and it’s generals, including Hannibal, the Carthaginian had been defeated by the Romans at the Battle of Zama in 202 BC after ransacking Italy for 14 years. Hannibal became a diplomatic force and a skilled trader in peacetime and guided Carthage to pay off the war reparations too quickly, and the Romans considered him such an ominous threat as to hunt him down and kill him. Could Patton have followed that idea? We’ll never know.

Surely a President Patton would have meant war against the USSR. When would agents of the Russians have better means and opportunity to murder him than in Europe? He would be unreachable back in the States. But was someone ELSE afraid of Patton? His murder would be unexplainable back in the States and not readily accountable to foreign agents. Was the USA also afraid of George S. Patton?
But then it was a simple car accident, wasn't it?

Addenda - April 2009
Robert Wilcox has written a book Target Patten, that feeds this particular theory; that Patton's sudden death was a planned assassination. One would suspect that the book is a result of constant conspiracy theories about Patton, and collusion between the Soviet union, the Communist Left in America and the US Government at the highest levels.

The US Air Force loses a hydrogen bomb off the US east coast of Georgia.
This broken arrow event is known as the 1958 Tybee Island B-47 crash and was an incident on February 5, 1958 in which the United States Air Force lost a 7,600 pound, twelve foot long, Mark 15 nuclear bomb in the waters off Tybee Island near Savannah. The Tybee Bomb as it is now called was jettisoned to save the aircrew during a practice exercise after the B-47 bomber carrying it collided in midair with an F-86 fighter plane. Following several unsuccessful searches, it was presumed lost somewhere in Wassow Sound off the shores of Tybee Island and is thought to be buried under 15 feet of silt. . . . . ... Tick tick tick.
If it was only a training exercise, couldn't they have loaded 4 tons of sandbags on board instead?

To date, some 14 nuclear weapons are known to be missing from the US arsenal alone. And we're supposed to be worried about Russian bombs missing?
Suntanning anyone? You might be glowing if you do on Tybee Island, but not with health. It is said that local residents can cook chicken without even turning their ovens on.

Price fixing?

Can you do price fixing in a free market?
Of course you can, just make it LOOK like you are competing normally and we can all gouge the public. Of course we all know that fixing prices is illegal, against the Canada Competition Act.
The Competition Act is a federal law governing most business conduct in Canada. It contains both criminal and civil provisions aimed at preventing anti-competitive practices in the marketplace.

Let me tell you how the act it is gotten around - funny how I noticed this and the thousands of women who shop for these products are quite content to pay the full retail price without even a whimper. (perhaps tears would solidify like caulk)
So let's say we have a few competing department stores that sell, say a cosmetic product to women. Maybe a lotion, something like what they are calling 'Night Recovery Skin Rebirth.' I just made that up. And let's say the names of these stores are The Bar, Dolt Ranfroo and Cleatons.

For whatever reasons, the cosmetic perfume companies lease space within these department stores. You know them, all classy and white marble, always on the ground floor with svelte dressed women wearing black and more makeup than an Aunt Jemima bag. I believe that Chanel, Dior, Elizabeth Arden etc etc at all do this everywhere.

I knew a young woman who worked at one of these counters once, she had just gotten the job as manager of a cosmetics perfume department. Let's call OUR cosmetics company,
Jemima Youth Products International. JYPI for short. (fictitious of course) And I, coming from the hard and fast retail competition of a store like London Drugs, advised her on how to compete against the competition. So here's the trick: The 'competitor' Store A, (hereafter in quotations for obvious reasons) has the 10 oz bottle of JIPY Liquid Refresher Night Balm on sale at $50. and you get a free velvet bag with it.
Now comes my friend's 'promotion' two weeks later, in her Store B. For $52 dollars, you get the JYPI 9 oz Cream Night Refresher Balm and now get a free leather pouch bag!
Next week the promo for 'competitor' Store C is advertising JYPI 11 oz Evening Balm Fresh Rub with gifty glitter box for $51 dollars.

You get the point? None of these products is exactly like the 'competition's' product, each package is manufactured for one store chain only, so Store A NEVER gets the exact same product as Store B and so on, therefore it can be sold without any consideration of competitiveness. Or suspicions about the JYPI Corporation breaking the Competition Act! And because our JYPI Corporation really controls ALL of the marble counters offering their product, they also control the management, staff and price of that JYPI product, even though many unrelated stores actually sell it.

Hence, NO one will actually compete the product on price. The Jemima Youth Products International company makes their product markup exactly as planned. Profits attained. Nothing at all to do with the actual creme of the product only costing $1 and the packaging maybe $2. Handshakes and grins from sly CEOs all around. And the poor women shopping for something to mortar the depths of their age wrinkles pay full price for everything, all the time, everywhere. And basically ALL these cosmetic companies do exactly the same thing.

This IS anti-competitive conduct. This is sneaky marketing at its best. This is price fixing.

Why is it there are so many questions unanswered about terrorism?
9/11 has expanded itself into a huge ongoing controversy over the years simply because of unanswered questions. (if you want to know what they are because you've been in a cave for 10 years, refer to the link two posts below - Believe what you will ... but ... it goes to the now famous "Loose Change" video)

So now we have Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Christmas day, flying from Amsterdam to Chicago. An attempted bombing and even though it seems someone has been arrested, there are many questions emerging from the incident.

1 - Some passengers (including Attorney Kurt Haskell) saw a well dressed man pressuring the ticket agent in Schiphol airport to allow another man (bomb man) onto the plane without a passport.
................ No one has released airport video to accept or refute this observation? Why not? You can be sure ALL ticket booths are constantly filmed and these two are recorded. Or not.
2 - The well dressed man and the bomb man went to a 'manager's office at the airport.
................ Why no info about this 'manager' or confirmation that the two were queried? Why isn't anyone answering how bomb man was able to board the aircraft?
3 - Someone sprang into action immediately that a fire emerged to subdue the bomb man and he was evidently taken to first class and handcuffed there.
................ No one seems to know who it was or who took charge of the fire bomb man? They say he was a Dutchman, but was he an Air marshal? If so why not tell the public? If not, where did the handcuffs come from?
4 - Once the plane landed, passengers were kept on the plane for 20 minutes but then allowed to get off with their carry-on baggage.
................ No one hurried the passengers off suspecting another bomb might have been on board? Or to protect a crime scene. And no one inspected the carry-on until hours later.
5 - While in the quarantined area, another man's bag was sniffed out by a bomb sniffing dog and taken to a separate room, then later led away in handcuffs.
................ Why did the FBI deny there even was another man questioned and then change their story five times after publicly aired comments by witnesses?
6 - Some man several rows back of the incident in the plane, was seen operating a video cam recording the whole action.
................ Why has this not come out about who he was or where that video might be?
7 - Another witness confirming Kurt Haskell's view of the Schiphol man says she is afraid to come forward.
................ Why?
8 - The well dressed man in Schiphol said his friend was from Sudan, when we now know he was from Nigeria and already identified by his own father to the CIA as a potential terrorist.
................ Why was no action taken in this regard?
9 - The media has seemingly expressed no desire to investigate, or even query anything about this event, except for a few independent websites and known instigators.
............... Why is mainstream media so reluctant to report on the biggest terrorism scare in 8 years?

Well, there are more questions emerging every day. And fewer answers. If the FBI had an air marshal on board, wouldn't they admit it? Even to reassure the public and inform other potential terrorists?
The problem emerging here, is that the conspiracy theorists get huge erections over stuff like this. And begin to sense a plan. All of these events seem to fit nicely into the idea that everything was known ahead of time. Hmm? Like another false flag operation?
If you knew there was no other bomb aboard, why even bother to search the plane? And letting the passengers sit for 20 minutes is okay too if there was no danger. Then letting them off with their carry-on is okay as well because it was all known ahead of time what was going down? And changing a story from the FBI almost every other day to counter what witnesses were saying is ... just odd.
So one conspiracy theorist told me that 'they' are wanting to keep terrorism front and centered in the minds of the populace to allow further restrictions to freedom. And that this young bomb man may be part of it all and will simply disappear somewhere into some prearranged protection system. Like, do this for us and you'll get American citizenship?

Why do these conspiracy ideas seems to nestle nicely into each other while the official stories fumble about? Is it just because truth is stranger than fiction?
Perhaps it is a natural suspicion in the subliminal minds of people based on a history of machiavellian intrigue going back to the beginnings of recorded secrets. And conspiracy theories are sometimes defined as an attempt to explain an event or practice by reference to the machinations of powerful people who have also managed to conceal their role.

It seems like business as usual in the conspiracy - counter conspiracy trade. I'm just watching for the next one.

Real Comparison

Babe Ruth, in 1927, in 151 games, hit 60 home runs. 714 lifetime.
Barry Bonds, in 2001, in 153 games, hit 73 home runs. 762 lifetime. Beating The Bambino's long held records.
Or did he?
How can we compare like achievements without like comparison?

Let's look at the Babe for a moment. He lived a 'reckless' lifestyle, no monk-like training here. He drank often and too much. Smoked cigars. Ate way too much. Had sex with multiple women, stayed out late in spite of team curfews. Drove his car way too fast and crashed many times. Not exactly a dedicated training regimen. In spite of this, he is often celebrated as the greatest baseball player who ever lived. He also often visited sick children in hospitals and even dedicated a home run to one, before that famous game!

One would think with modern training methods and equipment, seventy years later, someone would break the Sultan of Swat's record anyway. Yet players like Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds et al, had to use strength enhancing drugs to attain their exalted status.
What if we changed each players life style to mimic the other? Thereby sort of equalizing them.

Without even a push, we see Ruth as a robust man. Able to smack a baseball over center field any day any game with an old heavy, solid ash Louisville Slugger. So without a smoking, drinking carousing lifestyle, and a little attention to his health through better nutrition and paying attention to his game, and with modern equipment, what could we prorate his home run hitting to? Can we add at least 10 more homers while being realistic? Yes.
So the score is Ruth 70 - Bonds 73.

And now can we take away something from Barry Bonds? Perhaps that needle in his rear every so often and think what that might mean. He hit 16 homers his first year, and looking at his rookie photo, you can see he is a lithe and strong athlete. Can we expect he would average 25 homers a season for his career? Yet if we gave him cigarettes and booze and an unhealthy lifestyle? Maybe even made him eat those ballpark hotdogs? Would it change that greatest year for Bonds to being only a 50 hitter? I have doubled Bonds allowance, while just adding ten to Ruth's. (Hank Aaron topped at 44 in three different seasons, and he never had a suspicion of cheating)

So the score is now Ruth 70 - Bonds 50.

Yes okay, the record is in the books, Bonds blew away Ruth by 13 runs in that one season.
But would Ruth have been the Gretsky of baseball if we transported him into year 2001? And gave him dedication, good health and made him squeaky clean? Might he have put that season record out of reach like Gretsky did? Not 50 goals in 50 games, but 50 goals in 39 games and a total 92 for a season. Might the Bambino have got a hundred homers? His record works out to a home run every two and a half games in 1927. Could we realistically expect a blast over the fence every ONE and a half games in a 151 game season in 2001? Yes.
That's the 100 folks.

So now my score is The Babe 100 - Barry Bonds 50.

By the way, at 25 a season average with one 50, that's still only 600 homers lifetime for Bonds.

Jack Clark, a former St, Louis Cardinals slugger and four-time All-Star said recently, "A lot of them should be banned from baseball, including Mark McGwire." Clark was referencing McGwire's return to baseball for the 2010 season. "All those guys are cheaters — A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez). Fake, phony. Rafael Palmeiro. Fake, a phony. (Roger) Clemens, (Barry) Bonds. (Sammy) Sosa. Fakes. Phonies. They don't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. They should all be in the Hall of Shame." Some call it creepy baseball.

Bonds - 18 million dollars a season.
Ruth made 80 thousand in 1930 - lifetime 785 thousand. Ruth died at 53 with his own self respect and the integrity of being what he was. Nothing hidden.
And it's is all about respect and integrity, isn't it.

Was it a real comparison?
The age of respect is gone from baseball, but we can still hang on to those days that were.

Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan was acquitted of charges of the beating and torture of an Afghan grain dealer, even though it was all recorded on a three hour videotape shot in 2004 in the desert outside Abu Dhabi, one of the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf region.

During the taping the man was shown to be injured by Issa and a security guard; they stuffed sand in his mouth, he was beaten with a nailed board, burned in the genitals with a cigarette lighter, shocked with a cattle prod and led to believe he would be shot. Salt was poured into his wounds and an SUV was repeatedly driven over him.

Sheikh Issa's defence lawyer said 'We deny the incident as it was shown on that videotape,' and added that Issa had been given drugs which caused him to be 'deprived from his poise,' and that the whole scene was a plot by the wimpering Afghan to extort Sheikh Issa.

Oh, did I mention? Sheikh Issa is a member of the emirates' ruling family.

Evidently Sharia Law only applies to others and women.
The tape caused outrage among human rights groups in the United States, where senior U.S. officials familiar with the case said it delayed the ratification of a civil nuclear deal between the UAE and the United States.
But the ratification still went ahead. Deals being way more important than people, of course.
Sort of like that deal in 1990 where the Sheikh of Kuwait promised democracy and equality for women in that state if the US would help him by attacking Saddam Hussein.
Look what that got the US into! And has anyone checked the democratic rule in Kuwait lately?
And remember that British couple that faced years in jail for having sex at night on the beach in Dubai? They got away with a minor sentence then were fined and deported but were told when in Dubai, do as we do. No lusty Romans allowed here.

Be careful of deals with arabs, even if you have video recording.

Politically Correct Security

So we have a big furor at airports right now about the new full body scanning machines about to be installed. Many people are accepting them but just as many are against the idea.
I am not sure about them yet, except to say that apparently you must stand inside this full body imaging device scanner for a full minute. They are saying that any radiation you get is harmless. Hmmm. Didn't Phillip Morris tobacco corporation once tell us that about their product?
AND, now they say these scanning devices cannot see into body cavities.
Of course drug smugglers have been doing this for years - Women can insert more than a tampon into their vaginas and men, gay or not, can hide plenty of drugs or whatever in their rears. Not to mention that a common smuggling technique is to load the drugs into a condom, swallow the latex and poop it out later. What's to stop a bomber from going into the aircraft washroom and doing the same? Then combining the chemical elements to implement a mid air explosion?
The reaction so far from people seems just silly.
One person said, the people who scan you will be able to see my naked body, and they will be snickering. What? Pride and a haughty spirit goeth before a fall out of the sky? Another says he doesn't want a 10 dollar an hour person perving over seeing his wife. (Some might say at $10 an hour a guy needs SOME perks!) Invasive they all say. Intrusive. Insensitive.
And we ALL need to get scanned by these $250,000.00 machines because we mustn't offend that nervous, sweating guy with the black beard and wild eyes who doesn't speak English and has a bulky bum!
Of course al Qaida is politically correct too because they bomb everybody who is within range!

But instead of being scanned, we will be given the choice of the 'pat down' by a security officer. Lots of turmoil about that as well. This goes back to my $10 an hour comment too. One man PREcomplained, what if the guy doing the pat down is gay? Or a lesbian touching my wife! OMG what if the wife smiles? Another said, as long as the hand search is done appropriately.
What IS appropriate?
You can pat me down but don't feel anything intimate. Didn't the last guy have a cloth tube of explosive sewn into the inside crotch of his underwear? What's that, Sir? It's my penis, Officer. Okay then. Sure.
And none of this takes into account that a suicide bomber doesn't have to hold the explosives ON his body. The assumption still in effect is that you don't put luggage on a plane and then not get into that plane. Like what happened years ago. Airline staff are fine tuned to watch for that today.
But this guy is a suicide bomber, he's going to his 72 virgins anyway. How well is baggage scanned today? Watch the process as you check in, your luggage goes onto a speeding belt, and by the time you are walking to the plane it is being loaded into the soft, underbelly of the aircraft already! The terrorist just needs to poop out the trigger mechanism.
Or better still and altitude bomb. You know how that works, don't you? The chemicals are set into a piece of your your luggage, when the plane rises through an altitude of say, 10,000 feet, a trigger is set. The plane cruises to it's destination at about 30,000 feet. Then when the aircraft descends below 10,000 feet it will now set off the explosion.

Mind you, all this new concern neglects to mention that the 9/11 bombers and our latest Nigerian had VISAs to enter America. The prerequisite form of security of course, is to be aware way ahead of the boarding date of potential threats; who those passengers are, and what is their history and intent. But as President Obama said, the effort by the CIA was not acceptable.
The passenger on a watch list was not investigated properly, information coordinated or implemented properly. Even as far as to say the CIA was negligent.

So now we have a huge event coming up in Vancouver, Canada, the Olympic Games. And a security cost that started out as about 200 million dollars now seems destined for over a billion. Dollars.
And Canadians, as we all know are polite and easy to get along with, and are also politically correct. Sometimes they don't even sing Oh Canada for fear of offending someone within earshot in Greenland. And they are training their security people right now. Nice Canadians are being instructed to never touch a man's turban. And never EVER scan a man's wooden leg! Really? They said that? Yes really! No mention what to do if a person shows up in a full burqa. Person I said because who knows who is really under there?
And here's the rub - if people in an event line get impatient or irritable, security is instructed to let them through without any checking. Nice Canadians don't want anyone mad at them.
I was anxious when I heard that a foreign security might be working in Canada for these games, but I think I'd just as soon have the American Army checking me into the events.

So who wins?
Al Qaida seems to be ahead so far. The Western world is being hamstrung in spite of it's wonderful billion dollar space technology at the cost of a few brainwashed dupes, a few gallons of chemicals or some plastic explosive.

It seems the only safe way to fly in our future will be on a charter flight with a Krazy-glued nudist club.

New World Order

This phrase is gradually getting known.
And beginning to be accepted as something out there that might be happening.
Some attribute the first signs of this to the Bilderberg Group, after a meeting of world leaders and powerful people who met in 1954 in a Netherlands hotel. These secretive but important people are said to have discussed the future of the world and what was needed to sustain our precious blue planet. This sounds like a noble cause actually, because if humanity keeps going unchecked with our waste and carefree attitude, something will break down, if it hasn't started already.
Since that first meeting, many carefully chosen others have attended more of these esoteric meetings around the world. Often world leaders and heads of state. The rich and powerful. Influential magnates and those well connected to the channels of power.

Speculation has become rampant, as happens when you tell little of what you are up to. One of these ideas is that it has been decided, that, although we have six billion people clinging here right now, the optimal population of Earth should be about 500 million. Quite a disparity.
So if that idea has been put forward, then one only has to try to understand how this population decrease could be accomplished.
Ah, there it is then.
If you accept that there are some people over the years who actually could implement such a grandiose plan and might actually be starting on it, other notions begin to purcolate to the surface of the human thinking mind. And as conjecture about something so covert breeds conspiracy theories like nothing else .... one begins to wonder HOW could this be done?

One would need War. Excellent for quick and easy destruction of life. Nuclear tactical weapons have already been approved by America and Britain. Those same weapons already threatened by rogue states.
Disease, many already believe AIDS as a CIA plot to depopulate Africa. Now we have H1N1 going strong, aka Mexican swine flu. Didn't you know that Mexico City is now the most populous city on Earth? Some even distrust the vaccinations!
Chemicals sprayed into our atmosphere (so called chemtrails) with a mixture of mind altering spores to deimmunize and change our personalities to accept a way of life as someone else envisions it?
Genetic engineering? It is possible now to do genetic manipulation to have a cause and effect on certain groups of humans, say, Negroid people can be affected by something that does not affect a Chinese person, etc. And all those ramifications. One could selectively engineer a future population.
HAARP is a military establishment up in the mountains of Alaska. A High Altitude Array Radar Project installation that is studying things like over-the-horizon radar and the ionosphere. However there are suspicions that the ability to boil clouds, change weather and influence human behavior might be part of that stealthy project too. This installation does NOT appear on Google Earth. Hmm?
And the phrase New World Order was brought to the mass attention again in 1990 by George HW Bush in a speech that electrified and sent chills through the conspiracy theorists.

Well this IS mind boggling. isn't it? I'll leave you with that stew for now.
But although maintaining a healthy and minimal population on Earth IS a pure thought, some believe that the purity has become prurient. A siren of sex to those in power. The viagra of their being might now have become another swollen conception manifesting into their elite consciousness. What if .... ( a harsh whisper) ... New World Order became ....

Yes, a hushed phrase that can fill glimmering eyes with a power induced glaze. An idea that immediately creates Kings, Princes, Emperors and .... um, what else?

And the conspiracy mongers run with it. A noble idea run amok.
Are we heading that way? Destined? Is this the beginning or the end game?
Pay attention to world events with these thoughts in your mind and suddenly the rationale of the happenings becomes more centered. More real. Things make sense. Do research for yourself. Ask questions or at least don't accept answers. Where is the truth? Pay attention.
Movies make stuff like this happen on screen as fiction, which makes it all the harder to envision in the mind as reality.

Blackwater wins again

You'd almost think that the Blackwater corporation, now known as Xe, the company that has a controversial private army in Iraq, is being protected by someone.
Remember every single TV cop show you ever watched when they apprehend the bad guy, and they say this? - "Anything you say may be taken down and used against you in a court of law ..."
Evidently that's exactly why a federal judge dismissed manslaughter charges against five Blackwater security guards in the 2007 deaths of Iraqi civilians in a Baghdad square, finding that prosecutors wrongly used the mens' own statements against them.
Huh?
After the firefight, the Blackwater guards were questioned by government investigators about the incident. And it was construed by the federal judge that they might have been in fear of losing their jobs and therefore their statements were not allowed as evidence.
Each of the former guards faced 14 counts of manslaughter, 20 counts of attempted manslaughter and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a violent crime. A sixth guard pled guilty.
Blackwater/Xe is the same company that, during hurricane Katrina, stopped US citizens at gunpoint, from reaching high ground and safety in the turmoil of that tragic situation.
So, do the writers of TV shows now have to say; "Nothing you say will be used against you, we promise."
Or is this recent ruling only for a company that many think of as a rogue organization protected by the State Dept, NSA and the CIA?

it still remains that an RCMP officer, when Robert Dziekanski was down after being tasered 5 times, laid his leg across the side of Dziekanski's throat and cut off the blood supply to his brain. THAT is what killed him. That is what they don't want you to think about. Any school child knows that someone will die in seconds by this. He was not dead from the taser, he died from a policeman's full weight across his throat. My opinion and the opinion of many, including Paul Pritchard, the man who actually took the video.
What I would like to know as well, is who was the actually person who INSTRUCTED that security man to go and stand in FRONT of Pritchard's video camera to try to block him gaining evidence. That guy should be charged with something TOO!
All in all an attempted cover up and continued blocking by our RCMP
creating a shame out of an already tragic situation.

The cameras are going up on buildings, the sensors being tuned, the so called integrated Security Unit wearing the traditionally intimidating black suits is visiting dissenters, legitimate journalists are being harrassed and interrogated, and the freedoms that we take for granted are being removed, all in the name of 'The Games'.

Bud Mercer, head of the RCMP's Vancouver 2010 Integrated Security Unit, has announced the end of free speech as we know it in Canada.
The budding mercenary said there will be 'Free Speech Zones'. There will be no protests, talks, or placards with anti-Olympics messages allowed outside these designated areas. And the army will be here to enforce it. Is this actually inciting protest? Where would these zones be? In the Central Park forest? The dikes along the Fraser River? Perhaps somewhere in the West Kootenays?
Bud Mercer is the same guy who is sending mysterious men in black to harass anyone now who voices concern. And he has 4500 soldiers coming to make sure no one speaks out. They also plan on herding the homeless out of town. Maybe in boxcars? Oh no, wait, that was in Nazi Germany. How did the Chinese do it in Beijing? Oh wait, that was in Communist China.
This perception of a threat by the ISU is curtailing our rights to free expression and free association. There will be thousands of surveillance cameras watching everything you do. Security officials gathering intelligence on potential threats. Oh wait, this is Canada, a shining example of democracy and freedom. Isn't it? It couldn't be all that bad. Could it?
One wonders if these actions by already heavy handed enforcers will result in some sort of backlash and even some interest by regular people as Vancouver descends into a police state.
And one almost assumes this kind of suppression of democracy in Canada will actually encourage the organization of protest groups. That is if the famously placid Canadians even care about their rights and freedoms.
They don't want protests like Seattle had during the WTO meetings. Well many people began learning about the World Trade Organization because of those protests. And many now believe the WTO has no rights to over rule countries, yet it is now happening.
Who knows what VANOC is starting by over ruling Canadians' fundamental rights?
I think this is going to heat up, perhaps at Army gunpoint.

People are talking about Journalism 2.0 lately.
This is partly a theory that journalism as we knew it is now dead. It has to do with the modern media, TV news, newspapers, radio news. These sources for your information seem to be unreliable and untrusted. The news you get from newspapers is now almost 3 days old when it is printed. And they often quote news from TV or even weblogs! TV news hours fill up with anything but real news. Looking for 'stories' to tell within a time frame. Entertainment at 6.
A recent study of news information revealed that most of the younger generation get their hard news from, of all people, Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. Walter Cronkite died and news trust died with him. Journalism 1.0 is no longer supported, like that old Commodore 64 in a land fill somewhere, it is trash.
Most hard news outlets are conglomerates owned by a very few powerful people. A little research will often tell you exactly who owns them, and a little more reading will get you the slant of that owner. A little scrutiny will even tell you HOW the affiliated stations will report news. Do we really need to watch Fox news for their slanted and often doctored views? What is widely viewed to be propaganda! So why do we want to pay attention then? Of course the research this generation is doing is on the World Wide Web.

The reason people are discussing Journalism 2.0.
News now comes from people posting items on the web; in forums, blogs, Youtube, social networking sites like Facebook. Yes, opinionized it may be and there is a lot of chaff and misinformation, but a keen mind can separate that from DISinformation as practiced by certain organized media. Do we believe the antics of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck masquerading as news commentary? Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert are on the Comedy Network, they go for the laugh, and yet through the humor we discern truth. Salon.com regularly scoops the major news organizations. Wolf Blitzer fumbles through a program trying for seriousness yet seems to be a victim of news technology! CNN ratings have plummeted. Newspapers can no longer take the time to verify their stories in the competition with a Youtube cell phone video of what just happened.
Journalism is freer now that we, the people, can post stories and items and video about what WE saw. Anywhere and anytime in the world! We no longer need the trained reporter who can perhaps write better, or a videographer who gets the better angle and the glistening tear, all edited for a timed segment of the Six O'clock news (entertainment) hour.
The face of journalism has changed and the real eloquence is in the spontaneity of the report, whether it be from a shaky unfocused cell-phone camera or an ungrammatical posting on a blog.
Journalism 2.0 is here and we all have a tremendous new power. We are reporting to each other now.
We need only to expose the truth.

Wasn't it a few years ago that the US Government threatened Microsoft under antitrust laws? And didn't that interest disappear suddenly? Then it came back and they threatened to dismantle Microsoft into 3 separate companies? They feared Microsoft had way too much power because of their monopolistic position in the computer market?
Wait, wouldn't a monopoly be a GOOD thing if a government wanted to control its people and identify where they were and what they were saying and doing and thinking and the road was headed to everyone owning a computer? And most likely to have the Windows Operating System? Isn't Windows on 98% of all computers and XP on virtually every one?
When you go to a website, and then delete or clear all your cookies, and then go back to that website some time later, and they know who you are ... er, didn't Microsoft put a unique number into your operating system under the hype that it was a GOOD thing? Then under waves of protest from the public say that they wouldn't TURN ON that unique identifying number? Or at least YOU could turn it off? And doesn't your hard drive have a unique number too?
Didn't the FBI come out with a sneaky computer spy system called 'Carnivore' a few years ago, that could read the contents of any computer it wanted through your server? Then they changed the name because it seemed too ominous and scary and 1984ish? It could see every single email you sent to whoever and every word you typed into your hard drive or internet browser? Including every password you ever used? And didn't all this happen at about the same time as Microsoft introduced Windows 98? And didn't the US hold these server companies hostage by threatening to shut them down unless they installed Carnivore into their systems without telling anyone? Without telling their customers?
Doesn't Homeland Security have the power to do anything they want without telling anyone about what they are doing? To fight terrorism? Hmm.
Isn't Microsoft starting to add things now to updates of its software without making clear to technical people exactly what those updates are or what they do? In Windows Media player some technicians have compared Media Player 9.0 with Media Player 10.0 and can't find any differences? So why the automatic update?
Would the US government and Bill Gates have made a deal to allow Microsoft to continue as one company, so long as the Justice department had access to the Windows Operating System?
I don't know ... would they?
